Hawaii Day 7- Hukilau

Today we went to Hukilau. It was fun to back at one of our favorite beaches!
As soon as we got there and got everything set up, Doug sat down and started digging a big hole. The kids started helping after swimming for a bit.

Kenzie played in the water a lot today. She didn't boogie board very long though. She loves swimming and floating and diving into the big waves.

More kids helping with the hole digging.

They dug the hole deep enough that the kids could jump in and disappear.

Kimber and Ashlee planked. Got to get your exercising in, even at the beach :)

Konrad and Cam built a city of sand castles.

It rained several times while we were there. It didn't last more than 5-10 minutes, but the rain felt pretty cold. Most of the time we ran into the water since it felt warmer there.

Doug dug the hole for two reasons. 1. Coleman wanted him to.  2. So we could take a family picture in it. It was actually raining pretty hard while we were taking this picture; I'm surprised you can't tell.

After a cousin picture, half the family left. Jordan, Ashlee, Konrad, Doug, and I ended up staying the longest. Jordan wanted to keep digging the whole for awhile. He also swam some too.

These three are loving Sofia the First this vacation.

These two have been learning how to play their ukuleles a lot this afternoon. They learned a duet and performed it for us. Now they just need to sing as they play (or find someone to sing along.) They are doing fantastic!

Coleman says Sundays are his favorite days because we just stay home all day (other than church) and play games. He wishes we just did that everyday. He is always happy when we get home from the beach and he asks everyone if they want to play games with him. He also likes to play games he makes up.

Jordan has been obsessed with Brain Games on Netflix. He has been watching them a ton since he found out about them yesterday.
