Jordan

Doug told Jordan that he couldn't keep any books on his bed anymore. I told Jordan he should make a nightstand to keep his books on. I thought he could just turn a box or bin upside down, but he used a bunch of cardboard left over from Christmas presents and a ton of tape and made one.

He wanted to take a selfie.

Frozen Lake Tapps

We went to the Crabtree's house to watch the Seahawk's game on Saturday. The lake was frozen. The Crabtree's had been sliding around on it, so Doug and the kids went to play on it too. It made me too nervous to watch, so Doug took some pictures. I was only down there for a few minutes.

Jackson was pretty nervous to walk on it too.

Basketball

Jackson is playing basketball again this year. He had his first game last weekend. It was a fun game to watch and very close. They didn't win, but they played well.
Jackson got to shoot 2 foul shots.

He made one of them.

Sledding

The kids and I met some friends to go sledding at Hyak last Friday. It was so much fun and so cold!
Even though she was wearing warm socks and feety jammies, Kenzie's feet started to get cold soon after we go there. Luckily, I had Doug's thick winter socks in the car and put them on her. She had more fun after that :)

Kenyon's House

The day after Christmas we took a red eye flight to Texas to visit the Kenyons! The flight was not so fun, but the vacation was! We stayed 2 weeks and loved every minute, and we would have been happy to stay longer.
Nati and Kenzie. Kenna and Jack did a circus for the little kids, which included face painting.

It was 80 degrees out so we went to the pool, even though the pool water was cold.

These 3 were going to jump in together. Kenzie ended up jumping in first.

Nati soon followed, but she jumped out quickly to try to push Kenna in since Kenna didn't jump in. She didn't catch Kenna, but Kenna, and the rest of the kids all did swim.

Coleman still had his face paint on from the circus. One of his eyebrows stayed a little green the whole time we were there.

Mermaids!

Kenna

He wanted to lay in the sun, but the sun wasn't really out.

We went to the park for a few minutes before heading back to Shell's house.

Kenzie

We rode the golf cart to the pool.

We ate dinner outside.

Doug was convinced we should move there.

Doug and Jackson played football.

Kenzie and Kenna surprised Richard with a snowball fight.

Richard turned 35 while we were there.

He wanted ice cream sandwiches for his dessert.

Richard helping Kenzie rock climb. They have a rock wall in their garage.

Jackson's turn.

And Jordan's turn.

Kenna told Kenzie if Kenzie climbed the wall then she would climb it with her eyes closed.

There was a lot of wii playing, especially when Kenna and Nati had to go to school. Although Kenna is in this picture.

These 2 bought this entire outfit for 21! They are great bargain shoppers (especially Nati:)) The shoes and jackets were both about $4. The shirts were $6 and the pants were $7. As soon as Nati saw that the shoes were so cheap she wanted them more than the other shoes they were considering, which were fancier. Kenzie was convinced to get these shoes when we said they'd be able to get something else if they went with these ones instead of the fancier ones she liked better.

Kenna loves photobombing!

Coleman woke up with a bloody ear one morning. We were worried that his ear drum may have burst so we took him to urgent care. The doctor said he just had a cut deep inside his ear.

Silly Yodas.

For New Year's Eve we went to really cool fireworks show that their friends put on.

We played Heads Up while we waited.

We took the kids on a little hike (up the stairs :))

It had a great view!

Michelle and I took the kids to see Sing. The kids loved it and Coleman declared it's his first favorite movie :)

Jordan spent a lot of time figuring out how to solve his 5 by 5 rubiks cube, with the help of instructions.

He of course wanted to play a lot of games.

He's not actually sleeping, but this is such a cute picture :)

We went bowling!

I was excited they had the ball ramp things, but Coleman didn't even use one most of the time.

Kenna photo bombing again.

It was the fanciest bowling alley I've ever been too. It even had couches.

We got some ice cream at Creamistry.

We ate at Pei Wei several times. So yummy!

Doug wasn't going to come with us, but Kenzie made him a picture of her and him eating lunch at Pei Wei. It also said I love you so much. He couldn't say no to that :) Then she didn't even sit with him.

It was pretty crowded so the kids sat a couple tables away from us.

Nati bought her and Kenzie matching bears. They both named them Brownie.

We got dinner and ice cream at the airport on the way home. Kenzie told Coleman she would be his best friend if he tried ice cream so he tried it. And he liked it. Everyone was so excited for him :)

A few more things that happened:
Michelle and I watched the entire series of When Calls the Heart. She had watch the first 2 seasons, but hadn't seen the 3rd one yet. The husbands didn't enjoy it as much as us. We watched in the afternoons sometimes as well as the evenings.
Kenna got pink eye and had to go to urgent care on New Year's Day.
Jackson's gums became infected and we had to take him to the dentist. His mouth was hurting for a day and he had a fever. Luckily Michelle and Richard have a friend who's a dentist who was able to see him and didn't even charge us. He cleaned the area out and gave us a prescription for an antibiotic. Jackson felt better by the time we left the dentist.
Doug worked a lot, although not as much as he was hoping.
The kids played so well together the whole time, and were still so sad to leave each other.
We had so much fun and can't wait until we can go back! Thanks for having us for so long :)
