Museum of Flight

Kenzie, Coleman, and I went on a really great fieldtrip at the Museum of Flight today. They did a simulation of flying to Mars from a nearby moon, Phobos. Everyone had jobs and one group was in the space ship and the other was at mission control. They did it twice so each group could work in each location. They had the same job each time.

Coleman's job was to work on the rover they were going to send to explore Mars. In the first round he was at mission control and had to help his partner in the spaceship get the rover ready. He talked on the walkie talkie pretty much the whole time telling the other kid what to do.

Coleman had a screen next to him that showed him what his partner was doing.

After the simulation we visited some of the exhibits.

It was a fun day! We love fieldtrips!

Kenzie gave Coleman a horse ride.

 

Select Spring Soccer

Kenzie started her spring season for select soccer on Saturday. Her team only at 12 players so she got lots of playing time, which was so fun! I was worried it would be freezing, but the sun was shining so even though it was only 38* we were both still warm.

I love watching her play!

Sleepover Fun

Kenzie and Coleman slept at Jenna and Blake's with Taryn and Mikah. They had tons of fun!

These three stayed up until 1:30 braiding each others hair into tiny braids. Kenzie was so tired the next day!

I'm super excited Spring Training has started! I watch most of the few game last week.

Kenzie found this outside and was trying to figure out what it was. We still don't know.

Doug helped Kenzie find a way to get over the fence easily. She hooks a bunkbed ladder onto that so she can climb back from the other side.

She went out back to try to feed the ducks, but they all flew away when she was climbing over the fence.

She really wanted a fish one night, but I told her we're not getting one and she already has a pet. So she decided to make her own using an old Kinder Swimmer fish.

Coleman's Watch

We connected Coleman's watch to my phone and he discovered he could take a picture from my phone with his watch. So he took one of us.

Defy with the Winters

We went to Defy in the afternoon so Bryce could join us after he got out of school. Thane came again too. The kids had so much fun!

 

Snowy Valentine's Day

Kenzie's Valentine's Day prep. She spent a couple hours working on her valentines.

We leave our valentines outside our bedrooms door for us to find when we come out in the morning.

Kenzie wrote Doug and I handwritten notes and put them in a flower pot. It was so great!

It snowed Monday night-Tuesday morning so we woke up to a white Valentine's Day.

 

Coleman's Basketball

Coleman had a basketball game today. He made the first two baskets of the game and had some great passing and dribbling! He's improved so much this year since he's been practicing his dribbling and shooting so much!

Doug always helps keep score. He had come for the young men basketball practice so he's in his basketball attire. 

 

Hogwarts Legacy

Coleman bought Hogwarts Legacy, a new computer game that he's been so excited to play, yesterday when it came out. Kenzie ended up paying half too so she can also play. They love it!

Kenzie the Spy

Church basketball started this week for Doug and the boys. I didn't get to watch the boys' game, but Kenzie and I watched Doug's after her practice. I always love watching Doug play basketball! After the game Kenzie was wondering what dad's talk about so tried to sneak behind Doug and Ben while they were talking. She said it was hard to hear them though so she still doesn't know what dad's talk about :)
