It's my birthday I can cry if I want to...

But why would I want to cry on my birthday? I can do whatever I want :) My mom has often told me that her and Ashlee used to hate when it was my birthday because I thought I should be able to do everything I wanted and always get my way. They say I was a brat. :) Being a mom now, I can't really do whatever I want because I still have my little ones to think about. But I still had a great day having fun with them :)

This was the day before my birthday. We went to my mom's house and she made a delicious dinner of roast chicken and mashed potatoes. Ashlee made my cake. I opened some great presents. It was a great birthday eve :)
Look how old I am getting!

Although it may look like it, I didn't actually blow all of them out in one try. At least I don't think I did. My memory isn't as good as it once was, back when I was young. :)

Licking the candles.

Alli, Kimber, Jordan, my dad licking candles.

Doug thought this would be a great picture. Me holding all 28 candles. But, after the picture we found a few more candles.

Coleman trying to climb the wall.

I really love this baby's church clothes. Every Sunday I just think he looks so handsome and it makes me happy. But on the Sundays when Doug gets him dressed he often leaves off the vest. And he doesn't give him a tie (which I only do sometimes, Coleman doesn't always like it) and he's still handsome of course, but it's not the same. So then I usually find the vest and put it on. And bask in his handsomeness.

Alli. My kids often show up to my families' houses in pajamas. Or at least change soon after arriving. It was kind of funny that the Crabtree girls showed up in pajamas and my kids were in their church clothes :) Even Jack stayed in his for most of the night.

Sam with Jack making a crazy face to the side.

Kimber with bunny ears.

On my birthday the kids and I went shopping at Plato's closet, which is a thrift store for name brand clothes. I was hoping to get some good pants that would fit well. And I found a couple. One of them doesn't really fit that well. The other one does though. When we were checking out Jordan gave me a hug and said "happy birthday." So the sale's lady asked if it really way my birthday. It was kind of funny. :) Then we met my mom at lunch for Dairy Queen. It was really yummy! Then we headed home for naptime. Colie took a nap. Kenzie may have. Or she may have just hung out with us. I made a cake for later. Cleaned up the kitchen a little bit. Then we played Mario Kart until Doug came home. We got a projector a week or 2 before that we hooked our Wii up to. So now when we play it's huge on the wall in the basement. I like it a lot more than I though it would :) Doug came home early and I opened presents then we went to Thai food for dinner. Then we went bowling. It was a fun-packed day!
This is how I sleep every morning. We don't have curtains up and it gets so bright so early. And Doug and the kids always wake me up too early so I have to use my baby blanket (yes I still have and sleep with my 2 baby blankets:) )to cover my eyes to make it dark in hopes of getting anymore sleep. And Doug wanted to capture that on my birthday. :)

Cute Coleman.

Opening presents. (wearing my new pants!) :)

I just opened Kenzie's present so she had to give me a hug.

Coleman loved bowling. He would get mad and sad when it wasn't his turn. He would try to pick up the bowling ball sometimes or run out onto the bowling area to make it his turn. We had to find ways to distract him. He was doing better towards the end with waiting for his turn. I think it was once he understood that his turn would come again then he was okay waiting. He just didn't want to be done forever. But he didn't even throw a fit when it was time to go, which I thought would happen.

Jackson liked bowling without the helper thing.

Jordan preferred the helper. He tried it without, but he didn't like it.

Jordan again.

Kenzie loved bowling too. It was her first time ever going.

So excited watching the ball.

Coleman would stand and watch the ball till it hit the pins. Doug didn't bowl, because we didn't plan on Coleman bowling so we didn't pay for him, but then he wanted to, so Doug sacrificed his spot to let Coleman bowl.

We didn't have enough candles...

I think I got them all out in one blow... Hopefully :) I do think one or two of them kept lighting back up again like on Doug's birthday.

T-ball and Basketball

The boys are playing T-ball on the same team this year. Their team name is the Lightening Bolts. They are both loving it and doing great. Jordan did complain one game that he didn't like T-ball anymore because "it's too long." :)
Ready for their first game.

Kenzie "helping" Coleman put a hat on.

I get nervous when the coaches go near Jordan to help him when he's batting. I'm afraid he's going to swing the bat and hit them. He's not always so good at being aware of his surroundings.

First at-bat.

Jack got up to the plate and swung before I could even get a picture of him.

Cute little Kenzie.

Jordan and Jackson ready for the ball :)

Jordan running.
I had told Jackson that I couldn't even get a picture of him his first at-bat so for his next one he got up to the plate and smiled at me so I could take his picture.

Jordan is the second to the left and Jack is on the far right.

Doug was playing regional basketball for church. His team made it pretty far. I think there were only 2 or 3 games after the one they lost in, which is the one I have pictures of. My picture taking must have been bad luck.

Doug played a lot every game. He made many baskets. He's pretty great at basketball :)

Doug's the one on the left.

Kenzie, Colie, and me. Colie sat in the stroller the whole time for all the games he went to. He's a good, happy baby :)

Doug's team is in a huddle in the back.

Park with Friends

We went to a park with one of my friends from high school. She had 3 girls around my kids ages. The kids have fun playing together.
Cute Jackson before we left. The blanket he's holding is one he picked out from the thrift store. It's the one thing he wanted from the whole store:)

The kids eating their lunch.

Spring Fair

We went to the Spring Fair in April too. We always love going. It was a rainy day, but we spent most of the time inside so it didn't really matter.

We saw some reptiles.

They had a lot of games/puzzlesbrain teasers. We spend a couple hours here. The kids loved it.

Coleman loves building towers and knocking them over.

There were also a lot of Daffodil  Princesses (and one queen), They were playing with kids. The boys played with this for a long time. They played Connect 4 for quite awhile. And then moved on to other games with her. The princesses kept coming up to Kenzie and talking to her and asking her name and she would always run to me and smile really big at me, but wouldn't talk to them.

They got their faces painted:
Sun

Rainbow

Ice cream.

Kenzie and Jordan were in a play called "The Cutest show on Earth" There job was to shoot the germs with bubbles. Kenzie was pretty scared of the Germinator.

Jack didn't want to be in it. :)

Buckling up to ride in the car.

After we ate lunch we walked around to look at animals.
The kids liked the petting zoo. Even Kenzie touched the animals, which I didn't think would happen. Their favorite was the bunny.

They milked a preten cow.

And we ate some cow chip cookies before going home. We walked around the entire fair trying to find the donuts we ate at the Puyallup fair in the fall (both fairs are at the same place) but we couldn't find any. So we settled on cow chip cookies. They were good, but not really worth the money I paid for them.
