In the boys' dance class they do planks as part of their warm up. They try to do it as long as they can. Jackson has won every week. A few of the weeks he has tied because Miss Mallory will tell them to stop after it's been several minutes. Jackson is in the corner by the door and Jordan is in the green shorts.
Coleman spelled his name out of our magnet toys.
Then he decided to spell all his sibling's names too. I had to tell him which letters came next.
Then he added mom and dad too.
Colie got to bring Spunky home from preschool for a week. He loved getting food for Spunky to eat.
Kenzie wanted to have a picnic with some of her animals. Coleman brought Spunky to it.
I got a donut to make hair buns at a girls' night I went to. Kenzie loves wearing it.
Jackson's been wearing jeans more lately. It makes him look older to me. None of my kids have ever worn jeans very often so it's weird to see one in them :)
Coleman taking a picture of himself.
I bought the kids some new feety jammies since they were on sale and Jackson's and Jordan's had lot of holes in them.
One day I was making dinner and Coleman asked if he could eat a carrot stick. He usually will only eat a bite or two of them for lunch or dinner. I gave him one and he ate the whole thing. Then he ate a couple more with dinner. Since then he usually eats them pretty well. Some days he still won't eat more than a bite or two, but he's doing better at eating them.
I love calm moments like this. They don't happen too often. The boys working hard, Kenzie (the tiger :)) and Coleman painting.
We started taking turns doing family home evening (which is so much better than me just doing it each week!) Jackson did a great lesson. He told us a story about being grateful and found a scripture about being thankful. For the activity he drew a tree and cut out leaves and we wrote down the things we are thankful for. I was surprised by the amount of effort he put towards it.
We bought a new car! Our old one needed a new transmission, radiator, and probably tires soon. We had wanted to get a new car somewhat soon, and decided to just do it now rather than wait several more months. We chose a Sienna and we love it!
Can you find Kenzie?
Coleman loves helping me make dinner.
Coleman loves yogurt. He usually eats its for breakfast and for his snack before bed. Whenever he eats it does the color game. He hides while we get it ready. Then he guesses the color of his spoon. He also makes everyone else guess a color. The kids love to guess every color and ROYGBIV (the colors of the rainbow,) and mystery color (which they tell after they see the spoon, and it is always the right color.) Coleman will sometimes tell them only one person can say every color, ROYBIV, or mystery color. If he sees on accident he'll say "pretend I didn't see." Then he guesses they right color. He'll sometimes tell Doug and I to pretend we didn't see. One time someone asked what I guessed and Coleman said "She didn't pretend to not see" since he didn't tell me to pretend. We love this boy!
