Rolling down the hill

I told Jackson he should roll down the hill at the park. He thought it sounded like a great idea...But then he rethought the idea and ending up doing this:

Summer is here!

Well for now at least it's here. It's been nice to have the sun shining and being able to play outside. Today we went to the park for a ward playgroup. It was a lot of fun. The park has a sprinkler area with freezing cold water, but the kids love it anyways... not Jackson though. He liked touching it with his hands, but whenever it splashed on him he would run to me whining. But I don't blame him; I don't want to play in cold water. They also serve free lunch for kids at the park so everyone went to get some lunch. It was a fun morning.

Jack playing in the water. He would touch it then run to me and say I did it!

He also loved getting the water with a stick.

We went on a walk after everyone else left. As I was pushing Jordan, Jackson told me to stay. I stopped and he kept saying it. Then I let go of the stroller, not thinking he wanted me to, and he walked in front of me and started pushing it. It was prettycute.

This is Jackson following a big dog we saw. I love how his hands are behind his back. He walked like this for several minutes, until we saw a little dog that Jackson wanted to pet.

Jordan taking a nap. I love this age when he can sleep anywhere... It's great for the summer! We can go anywhere and not have to worry about his naps.

Just relaxing

Jordan loves being in just his diaper. When he's fussy right before he goes to sleep we'll take his clothes off and just let him hang out in his diaper. It makes him very happy. He also enjoys being in the Elmo chair. I think he wants to be a big boy already.

Ready for church

Aren't they cute all dressed up for church?

Hair Cuts Again

I cut Jackson and Doug's hair again yesterday. I didn't Jackson's all by myself. Usually I hold Jack while Doug cuts his hair. But Doug still isn't feeling good so he was napping and I decided Jack really needed a hair cut. I tried using scissors, hoping Jack wouldn't cry so much as he does using clippers. That didn't really work out too well though. I didn't really know what I was doing and if it was going to look even. I was worried I was just going to have to cut it really short to fix any damage I did while using scissors so I decided to use the clippers instead. Jack did ok. He cried as was expected but not too much. Doug did really good. He didn't cry at all :) I thought both their haircuts turned out really good.

Photo Shoot

Jordan and I were the only ones up last night... Doug has been sick the last few days so he went to bed early because he had to wake up really early. So Jordan and I had fun taking pictures. I was trying out some features that I haven't tried yet. Most the pictures were blury though. I'm not very good at holding the camera steady. Here are my favorites:

High Chair Fun

This morning while Jackson was eating breakfast he held up his waffle to me and said "What's that?" (He's always asking me that... a lot of the times he says Whoa! what's that. He also asks me why all the time.) I said I don't what is it? and he said it's a mountain. Also, yesterday during dinner he was eating some bread and he asked Doug what it was and Doug said a doggie. So Jackson began to move the bread-dog around his high chair and making it jump. Then he took a bite and said I ate my dog. It was so funny. Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen him pretend his food was something. Maybe it'll turn into a new meal time activity. Here's a picture of the waffle mountain... I don't have one of his doggie.

Today during lunch Jackson was eating cheese and a vitamin (while is soup was cooking... he wasn't only eating cheese and a vitamin) and he decided to put his vitamin in between the two slices of cheese. He told me to look at his sandwich. (I know this picture isn't great of Jack but you can see the vitamin in the cheese)

Here he is eating his vitamin sandwich

and here he is after he bit into the vitamin... He tried spitting out the cheese and vitamin after having a bite of the vitamin and wouldn't eat any more of the sandwich after the first bite.

Being a baby must be tough

Jordan rolled over last night for the first time! He rolled from his back to his tummy. We were both pretty excited. He had a huge smile. I tried to get a video of him doing it again, but he didn't do it again. He kept trying over and over to roll again, but just couldn't do it. Here's a video showing how hard he tried to roll over again.

Jumpy Toy

I put up our jumpy toy last week for Jordan. I've been wanting to put it up for him but I thought he would be too small for it. Jackson was when we first bought it and he was 4 months. But Jordan is much bigger and already does really well in it. He doesn't just fall over and get stuck like Jack did. We're hoping having Jordan in this will help with his flat head :)

Jackson of course wanted to try it out too and since he's still pretty little I let him... I thought I took a picture of him but I didn't. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of pictures I take. I took way to many in the last three months. I'm not really supposed to be taking any except a few of Jordan so I can scrapbook them. Obviously I haven't completely stuck to the rule, since there are pictures of Jack that I've taken. But I've done a lot better with not taking tons of pictures.

Falling over

Here's a cute picture of Jordan falling over on the couch.

New Haircut

I got my hair done last Thursday. Here's a picture of it. I put light streaks in it. I really like it a lot. I also got it cut a little bit... It was getting kind of long in the back. So I just shortened it up in the back and trimmed it everywhere else.

Sneaky Jackson

Jackson usually likes to stay with me wherever I am. It's kind of unusual for him to be away from me for very long. Recently though, he's started to go in his room by himself, usually to get his blanket, but he doesn't come back quickly. I don't care if he plays by himself in his room. I actually think it's good for him to learn how to entertain himself. But recently when he goes into his room and is very quiet. Even when I'm in the room next to him I don't hear anything. When he does come find me or I go find him to see what he's doing this is what I've been finding:
Jackson with his binky. The rule in our house is that Jackson can have his binky when it's nap time or bed time. He loves going to bed because he gets his binkies. He has about 5 of them now. He usually throws most of them before he goes to sleep. When he gets up in the morning he throws his binkies in his crib. But he can usually still reach them. So he goes to his room, find one, and puts it in his mouth. Whenever I see him with one in he has a sneaky look on his face, like he's thinking "hahaha look what I have." Once when I went in there he was hiding behind the rocking chair in his room sucking on one. He's pretty sneaky.

Learning from my brother

Most kids learn from their older siblings. They see them do something and they want to do it to. Well in my family it's the opposite. Here's the proof:

Jordan likes to suck on his hand so Jack thought it must be fun and tried it out. Now he likes it too.... Maybe it's his way of playing with Jordan :) He also like to have Jordan suck on his hand. Another way that Jack acts like Jordan is by sounding like him. Jordan makes a sound that's like "aaawoooo" and Jackson started doing it too. When Jordan is laying on the ground Jack will go lay by him and start saying it to him. It's pretty cute!

New Curtains

My sister Michelle made some cute curtains for Jack's room. I just put them up today. They look so good. Since we moved in we've had a sheet and comforter cover up as his curtains. I wanted them up so it would be darker and Jackson would sleep better, but they didn't look that great. I don't have a picture of them. I didn't think to take a before picture until I'd already taken them down. But trust me it looks much better now. Thanks Michelle!

Here is a cute picture of Jordan. He'll be three months tomorrow. He's getting so big. Whenever people see him that's usually their first comment about him (well that and he's so cute:)). It's kind of funny because usually when people see Jack and find out how old he is they talk about how small he is.

More Mariner pictures

I was just looking through my Mariner pictures and remembered that I forgot to post our Ichiro picture. We finally took one of him after all the games we've been to. People from Japan love Ichiro, since he's from there and used to play baseball there. So every game a least a few people come to centerfield where our seats are and take pictures of him. Doug decided that since we brought our camera this time he should take a picture of Ichiro. So here it is:

This is a pciture of Jack in the stroller after the game. I love this picture and wanted to share it.

This is Jack sleeping after the game on the way to dinner. He was worn out from all the day's activities and from not having a nap.

Take me out to the ball game

My parents took my whole family to the Mariners' game last Saturday. It was a lot of fun! Jack loved it. The whole morning before we left he kept saying baseball game and gathering his glove, baseballs, and bat so he could take them with us. I was beginning to wonder if he thought he was going to be playing in the baseball game. We sat it two spots. My sisters, their husbands, Doug, and I and all our kids had seats several rows up from my parents who have weekend season tickets. But all the kids, except Jordan, sat by parents for most of the game. They have two seats and the seat next to them was open because the guy who normally sits there saw how many people were already crammed in the three seats and left to sit somewhere else. (My parents told him he could sit there and the kids would move, but he said no...)

Makenna with Grandpa

Jack and Grandma The man sitting by Kimber caught a ball that Ichiro threw into the stands and gave it to her. After the game when was talking about it, Ashlee said she had another ball from Ichiro. But Kimber disagreed. Then she said she a lot of them. It was pretty funny.
