Update

I haven't updated much this month, mostly for two reasons. One is that I've been spending most of my free time catching up on my kids' scrapbooks. I was really really behind. I hadn't even started Jordan's before a couple weeks ago. But one of my goals was to catch up before baby girl is born. And as of today I accomplished it. I was very happy to finish my last page today. The other reason is that we haven't done very much this month and of the things that we have done, I haven't taken many pictures. Here's what we've been up to this month: we went to Doug's work picnic (which I just posted about), to my sister's house (which I also jsut posted about), saw a free movie with the kids (Igor, I don't recommend it at all), went to a normal park and a sprinkler park, and the zoo. Other than that we have mostly just stayed home. I've been feeling too lazy to go places too much. Plus I'm trying to get my house clean and organized before the baby comes. That's one of my other goals before she comes. My other goal is to do some freezer cooking so we can eat after the baby is born. Hopefully the recipes I choose will turn out ok. I have only tried one that I'm planning to make. Here's a few pictures of the kids.

Jordan in daddy's shoes.

Jack and Jordan went on a merry go round. It was Jordan's first time on one, and Jack's first time actually staying on the horse and having fun. Usually he just wants off the horse, but enjoys going around.

The boys having fun together before bedtime.

Jack in baby sister's rain boots. He went upstairs to change after church yesterday and this is what he came down wearing. His shorts were on backwards too. I need to get him some of his own boots.

Mini Vacation

We went to visit my sister Michelle in Portland a week ago. We had a lot fun playing together. We went to place called Out of this World where there's a bunch of blow up toys and a huge play thing for the kids to climb on and slides for them to go down, and a baby area with baby toys. The kids loved it. Jack ran around with Makenna and they went down the bouncy slides and normal slides by themselves. Jackson usually doesn't like to do those kinds of things without an adult to help him or at least catch him at the bottom, but he went with Kenna. Doug and I were both happy to see him trying out the slides. I don't have any pictures from that day though. My sister and I both forgot out cameras. The next day we went to the ocean. It wasn't a very warm day and the water was freezing (at least that's what they tell me, I didn't touch it... I thought it would be cold and stayed away from it.) The tide came really close to us but never actually reached us even though it was getting most of the other people. We had the perfect spot.

Cute little Natalie.

Jordan in his stroller.

Jordan found Richard's hat and tried it on. It matched his outfit really well and I thought it was really cute. He's watching Richard bury Makenna.

Jordan in the hat looking cute some more.

Jackson getting buried. It was his first time getting buried that much. I think he's had his feet buried before and that's all.

Doug's Work Picnic

In the middle of this month we went to Doug's work picnic. It was pretty fun. Everything was free and there was a lot of fun things for the kids to do.

We ate a picnic lunch there.

Jackson loved miniture golfing. It was his first time doing it.

Jordan liked it a lot too.

Cute Jordan

Jordan liked this game. He threw a bean bag into the clown's face. Jackson liked it too and was able to throw them in the holes from behind the line he was supposed to stand behind.

Jackson and Doug rode on a train.
Jordan loved this game. He just had to throw a ball into the squares, but he loved it. He kept wanting to play it. He even tried to steal the ball a few times. And the last time he played, a little girl grabbed his ball from the ground and he thought she was going to give it to him, but she didn't and he was a little sad. So we found something else to do.

Jackson surprised me and went on the bumper boats. He liked it a lot. He got stuck a few times and Doug had to help to turn him around, but other than that he did good at driving the boat. I thought he would be afraid to go on them and I was glad he wasn't.

Jackson got a gecko face paint on his arm. A few people asked to see his tattoo and he had no idea what they were talking about. He doesn't know what a tattoo is. He also didn't agree that is was a gecko. He just thought it was a lizard. He loved it though and was sad when it finally washed off.

Doug and Jackson went on the bouncy slide. I was glad I didn't have to go on it with him.

Kid to Kid

Last night after getting home, I checked my email and saw there was a fill a bag for $10 sale at Kid to Kid (a consignment store). So you could fill a bag they give you and pay $10 for everything that you can stuff in.I wasn't sure if it was really going to be worth it. I didn't know how big the bags were or if there was going to be much clearance, which was the only clothes you could put in the bag. I also thought it might be pretty crowded. and I have a lot to after being on vacation for almost a week. My I decided to leave my house a mess and my laundry unwashed and go because I figured if I could get even 10 items in the bag it would be worth it since that would make each item $1. Here's how much clothes I was able to stuff in my bag:
All of that for $10. Pretty amazing in my opinion :). I fit 68 items in my bag. I got tons of onsies, which is what I needed and some other needed clothes for my little girl and one pair of pjs for the boys. The check out lady said I had the most stuff in my bag that she had seen all morning. The cost would have been over $100 but I only had to pay $10. The clothes came out to be about .14 per item. I definitely am glad I went. After finishing and seeing how much clothes I actually had stuffed in the bag I wanted to go back and find some more to fill another bag. I can't wait for the next fill a bag day.

Dance Family Reunion

For this year's Dance Family reunion we went to Bear Lake in Idaho. Doug's brother Darrin and his wife Shawnee were in charge of it. They did a great job. It was a great place for the reunion and they prepared as much of the food before that they could so we just pretty much had to heat things up. All their work made meal preparing much easier. We camped right next to the beach. It was different from the camping I'm more used to. There weren't really any trees, like you'd find when camping in Washington. It was mostly just a big open field with a lot of dead grass. I was worried, especially being pregnant, that it would be really hot, but it wasn't. I was actually probably a lot cooler there than I would have been if I had been at home. One of the days we were there was windy and cloudy and so it was nice and cool for me. Bear Lake is a really good beach. There was a lot of soft sand and the water wasn't too cold, although I didn't get in more than my feet. The water is really shallow for a long ways out too which was perfect for the kids. It was nice to have a lot of time to just hang out with everyone.
Daisy and Jack in our tent.

Jordan loved playing in the sand. He was so happy playing by himself in it most of the time. He didn't go in the water very much. When he did go in he only took a couple steps in.

Jack in the lake. See how shallow it is? It's not even up to his waste and he was pretty far out. He didn't like when he saw how far away he was from Doug, who's in the edge of the picture.

Daisy, Jack, and Doug playing. Damon in the back ground.

Jackson resting on Doug's leg. He was tired a lot this trip. He didn't take any naps and didn't get much sleep at night either.

Jack bundled up in his towel resting with his daddy.

Family picture. I brought my lawn chair, as you can see, and I'm so glad I did. It was so comfortable to lay on. Much better than a chair or sitting in the sand.

Jordan and me.

Daisy, grandma Dance, and Jordan playing in the sand. Jordan like to just take the bucket off and on the pile of sand.

Darrin, Daisy, Carson, Damon, and grandpa Dance digging in the sand.

Jordan played in this moat and with the sand castle for a long time.

Jack, Doug, Jordan, and grandpa Dance in the water.

Jordan sitting in a hole. He loved sitting there.

Jack and Doug playing water volleyball. Jackson wore his sunglasses pretty much the hole time we were there. Everyone was very impressed that he kept them on. He really hates the sun in his eyes.

Jack and Doug in a boat.

Grandma Dance and Jackson.

Grandma Dance with her newest grandchild, little Eva. Isn't she so tiny and cute? I can't believe I'm going to have one of those in my house in just a couple months... Jordan loved to go look at her. I told him grandma was a holding a baby and he got so excited and ran over to them and wanted to see the baby and kept pointing at her and saying baby. We'll see how much he likes having one here.

Daisy and Jackson. A funny story about Daisy: we stayed at her house on Wednesday night before heading to Bear Lake on Thursday. Her older brothers were racing and she wanted to race with them, but realized that were too fast. So she said she wanted to race "the little man" referring to Jack. :) She also called him her friend and boy friend. She had a hard time remembering his name. Not everyone has Jackson's talent of remembering people's name really easily. He really did good at that I thought.

We put Jordan in the back of the van for him to take his nap. I didn't think he would sleep, but Doug wanted to try it. And to my surprise he did fall asleep. I just had to lay with him for a few minutes. He never slept as long as he does at home though. So he was pretty tired yesterday when we got home from his lack of sleep and he slept until 10:45 this morning.
