Purple Class

Kenzie's dance teach suggested that Kenzie should start taking the Primary 1 dance class in addition to her kindergarten class. She thinks if she does both at the same time she'll be ready for Primary 2 next fall. We decided to let her do it. Kenzie was so excited to go to the "purple class." She was also a little nervous because she didn't know any of the girls. She loved it though and did great.

I thought it was funny they made the same face :)

And here's puppy dog Kenzie.

Pictures from Colie, Haircuts, Ward Christmas Party, and Fantasy Lights

Coleman took some pictures:

He also played on the Kindle one morning. I don't remember why. Maybe all the other kids slept in so I let him play.

 Before the haircut.

Still before.

After! So handsome!

We went to our ward Christmas party. Colie was sad for some cute reason, but I don't remember anymore. Doesn't he have the cutest little sad face? It was karaoke party. Coleman and Kenzie both spent a lot of time singing and dancing in the front with other people. We could never hear them actually singing, but it was cute :)

We went to Fantasy Lights:

Jackson's hair was getting really long in the back. We just cut the back and sides. I wasn't sure if it would look good, but we thought it turned out well.

This is the after shot.

And another after shot.

Winterfest

Kenzie, Jackson, and Jordan all had a dance recital at Winterfest in Seattle. Kenzie is taking ballet and the boys are taking hip hop.
Her song was from Cinderella.

She wanted to do a pretty pose.

And another pretty pose.

Jackson and Jordan in their costume.

They all did a great job in the recital! It was fun watching them dance. A couple days after the recital Jackson said that his stomach was doing somersaults throughout the dance. After a couple minutes, Jordan laughed and said he though Jackson meant he was actually doing somersaults during the dance, but then realized that he didn't see Jackson doing any somersaults :)

We ate dinner afterwards. It took these three to find tables. I realized once we found some that I couldn't leave these kids to tell everyone else where we were. Luckily Ashlee found us eventually :)

Then we went ice skating.

Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree a week after Thanksgiving. We've never got it so early. I'm always worried it will die by the time Christmas comes around. But this year we decided to try getting it early. We went to Coates' Tree Farm, like we have for the past several years.
Jordan wanted this funny looking one.

And this one. He only wanted gigantic ones.

We found the perfect one. At least I thought it was perfect.

Doug likes to bring a tarp to try to stay as clean as possible when cutting down the tree.

The kids took a turn sawing.

Jackson wanted a Charlie Brown tree.

Timber!

Kenzie and Colie.  Kenzie loves painting her face to look like either a dog or a cat. Coleman is wearing the same coat Jordan wore for the past 3 years. I keep looking at these pictures thinking it's Jordan. I didn't think the coat was that small for Jordan last year. But it looks like it fit Coleman perfectly.

Jack pretending he's flying.

Checking out the blow up toys.

Jordan wanted a picture with Santa's sleigh.

The kids played with the bubbles for a little bit.

I put the lights on the tree the next morning and then we decorated it. It usually takes several days before I put lights on and then several more before we put the ornaments on.

It was Colie's turn to put the star on the tree. Next year it will be Jackson's. He thought it was his turn this year, but luckily I blogged about it so we knew it was Coleman's.

We had to trim the top of the tree after the first time so Colie had to put the star on again.
