Fleet

We started our second semester of co-op this week. The kids all seemed to love their new classes.
Kenzie and Jordan are in a theater class.

Jordan is in this picture in the back. I am an assistant in this class.

Coleman is in yoga. He loved it. He tells me he likes stretching:)

Coleman is also in my Lego class. He thought he would love me being his teacher, but hate Legos. He ended liking Legos way more than he thought he would.

Jordan is also in a string class. Today they did finger knitting.

Kenzie is in a dance class. They learned the Electric Slide.

Coleman spelled his name in Legos.

Hyak

We went sledding at Hyak with the Ramsays this morning before co-op. It was the perfect day for it: sunnny, not too cold, and not windy (except the first little while we were there.) There were more people there than normal, but it wasn't too bad.

Our group heading back up the hill. This is Coleman's least favorite part of sledding.

We would all just race every time we went down.

Mikah and Tucker are the first two.

Everyone getting ready for the race.

Mackenzie loves hot chocolate!

Doug took the morning off to join us.

Kenzie and Mikah

 Jackson, Tucker, Jordan, Cassidy.

Kenzie and Mikah kept trying to squish onto small sleds. They fell off most of the time.

Coleman really wanted to build a snowman. The snow was too icy to make one, but they found one already made.

On our way out a lady stopped Doug and asked if she could buy our sled for $20. They had bought one that needed to be blown up, but didn't bring a pump. They thought that either you could rent pumps or sleds, but you can't do either. So we sold them our sled. It was a good two person sled, so now we'll have to use the $20 and see if we can find another like it:)

Coleman's Favorite Book

Coleman's favorite book right now is One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. He reads it all the time and always wants to bring it in the car. He has read it so much, he has a lot of it memorized.

Key of Liberty

For Jackson's co-op class he is doing Key of Liberty. It's an official class that his teacher is certified to teach. They finished their first semester last week and had an awards night on Friday. They had to write many papers, read several books, watch a movie, do service, memorize a lot of the Declaration of Independence, and other things. Jackson and two other kids were the only ones to meet all the requirements (I think the other kids only didn't finish the memorization.)
They recited the Declaration of Independence for us. Jackson didn't like memorizing it. The other two kids that did it both said they loved memorizing.

Jackson getting his Key. He had to give it back, but will get to keep it for good at the end of the year. Jackson said writing the papers has been his favorite part of the class.

Football Bracket

Jackson made us a Superbowl bracket again this year. Jordan has already won it so we went to his choice of dinner. Taco Bell!

Harry Potter

Mackenzie started reading Harry Potter this past week. We've been trying to convince her for awhile, but she kept saying she'd wait until she was grown up and just watch the movies instead of reading them. Jordan had just started the series over (for the fourth time!) and said she could borrow the book anytime. She took him up on it and has been loving it since.

She made herself a Gryffindor sign and hung it up on her door. She also has been wearing our Harry Potter robs around and named her new stuffed dragon she bought Ron Weasley.

Ashlee's Birthday

We celebrated Ashlee's 40th birthday last weekend!

My mom made sure there were 40 candles. Ashlee blew them all out without a problem.

I'm so grateful she's my sister and that we live close enough to see each other often and celebrate birthdays together!

Golden Ticket

Kenzie got a small part for her dance recital in June. The theme this year is Wonka and she is one of the golden tickets. She's so excited!
She made herself a ticket costume the first chance she got.

Middle School Basketball Ends

Jack finished his middle school basketball season. He had a lot of fun!

 Me and the kids

Kenzie came with me to get the car serviced. She always wants to come so she can get free cookies. This time she also found some sprite and the TV was on, so she thought it was the perfect afternoon.

Aubree and Kenzie made an apple pie.

Jackson finished his lego Seahawks helmet.

Co-op

We had our last day of the first semester of co-op last week.
They made wind racers during LEGO class.

Kenzie made a bowl in art.

Basketball Games

The kids have started basketball. Our Saturdays are pretty crazy because the kids games overlap a lot, and they play at the same time in different locations. So far none of them have won any games. But there are still a lot of games left:)
Coleman is much involved this year. He goes for the ball and has even taken a couple shots.

Kenzie's playing hard as always. In her second game they played a really hard team, and Kenzie had her team's only basket!
