Christmas

Jackson and Jordan woke up by 7 on Christmas, Kenzie woke up a little late, and Coleman got up around 8. We read about Jesus' birth in the Bible and then went downstairs to open presents.

Doug's and my presents.
Waiting...

Chopsticks!

Trying to figure out what Jackson got her. It's a parrot that repeats what you say.

Kenzie didn't really acknowledge that she got a bike until she went up and kissed it.

She always opens her presents so fast and is the first one done.

Jackson made everyone presents. He made Kenzie a dog house. She loves it!

Kenzie playing veterinarian.

He was still opening presents after the other kids were done and off playing with their new toys.

Christmas aftermath

Jordan trying out his demolition lab.

Doug and I like to play a computer came called Heroes of Might and Magic. He played it a lot growing up, but never played the first one. I found it on Amazon for him. He was rather surprised.

One of Jackson's favorite presents was a book that teaches him a how to play his recorder. Coleman also sewed him a case for his recorder (with a lot of help from me :))

Jordan got me an adjustable measuring spoon.

Kenzie so excited for Doug to open the present from her. Doug's wearing a hat Jackson made him.

Doug also got an Oki card. He's excited he get to golf at least 6 times this year :)

Doug and his presents.

Me, Kenzie, and my presents.

I was cleaning up a little and noticed Coleman still had some things in stocking.

Kenzie on her new bike with her new helmet and new robe. I somehow forgot to wrap that robe, a dress, and a Snoopy stuffed animal for Jackson so I just had to bring them down after they were done opening presents when I realized Kenzie never opened her robe.

We skyped with Grandma Dance and Doug's brother Brian and his family that were visiting Grandma. My parents came over for  awhile after lunch. Then we went back to their house for dinner.
Doug's hair is getting long.

It was a fun day!

Christmas Eve

We had a fabulous Christmas Eve.
The kids were so excited to open a present.

Christmas jammies! I decided to not make them this year.

Kenzie loves puppies!

So excited to get puppets.

My dad got on his golf outfit...

We decorated cookies.

He didn't want to decorate the cookies; he just wanted to play Chess with Grandpa. I made him participate though :)

Richard tried peeling potatoes with a drill. It didn't work too well... We were just splatter with potato peels.

I think there were 37 people there for the party. We ate dinner, read the Christmas story, sang songs, and hit the pinata.

My dad wanted to make sure he was well protected this year :)

Kenzie, wearing Nati's clothes :)

I think Jack broke it.

My mom bought 2 pinatas this year so that the kids older than Sam would be able to have a turn, but Jackson broke the first one (I think...) and Sam still broke the second one. Poor big kids.

When we were trying to get the kids to get their shoes on, I told Coleman that we needed to go home so Santa could come. He got so excited and quickly got ready to home. When he was home and in bed, I went in to give him a hug and a kiss and he asked if Santa was there yet. Then he asked Doug the same thing. He also didn't want to sleep with his door open at all or his music on. Christmas is so fun with little kids :)
