Gingerbread Houses

We went to my sister Ashlee's house last Saturday to make gingerbread houses. Here are the results.
Doug's house
He did the inside of a house instead of the outside. There's a Christmas tree, couch, and bed in the rooms. A car is in the garage and Santa is sitting on the roof.

Cute Jackson

Here are some cute pictures of Jackson. He's talking much more lately. He says words often that I didn't know he could say. He also is using phrases a lot more too. I love that he can talk so well. It makes knowing what he wants much easier. Instead of crying for things he wants he can just tell me.

Whenever Jack says gone he puts his hands out like this. It's so cute. Usually when I finish eating my waffles for breakfast he looks at the empty plate and says "waffles gone."

One night Jackson climbed on his little car and put his stomach on the handle bar and put is hands and feet in the air. I couldn't get a good picture of him with his arms and legs out. He wouldn't keep them up very long. This picture is on his way back down. Jackson also says "cheese" when I pull out the camera a lot of the time. Right when he sees it he looks towards it and says "cheese." The next two pictures are of him saying this.

Baby #2

I had another ultra sound yesterday (my 3rd one) and they gave me a cd with pictures and video of my new baby. He's so cute I had to share some of the pictures.
This is picture of his head (on the right) under one of his legs. He's pretty flexible!
This one is 4-D. I'd never seen this done before. It was cool to see the baby more clear. I think he's adorable and I can't wait until he's here!

Oh No!

Doug reminded me that I forgot to tell a cute story of Jackson. When we were landing in Las Vegas and Jackson was looking at all the lights the plane turned so that our side couldn't see the ground anymore. As soon as the lights went away Jackson said, "Oh No!" But he was happy again when the lights came back. It was really cute.

Thanksgiving in Sandy Valley

We went to grandma and grandpa Dance's house for thanksgiving. We were there from Wednesday night to Monday afternoon. We had a lot of fun! Two of Doug's brothers and his two sisters were there with ther families.

Jackson was pretty good on the airplane both to and from Las Vegas. On the way there he started to get bored near the end of the flight. But once we could see the lights from the airplane we opened the window hoping Jackson would be entertained by them. He loved them! He didn't move away from the window until after we landed.

This is a picture of Jackson and me with Doug's sisters Candis and Deveny holding their sons Isaac and Mckay. These cousins are all really close in age. Jack is 18 months, Isaac is 12 months, and Mckay is 15 months.
This picture is of Doug, Jackson, Preston, Brooklyn, Anna, and Xavier.

This is Jackson with Grandpa Dance. The first night we were there Jackson didn't want to go to bed and kept saying "Isaac" and "grandpa." We had to keep telling him that they were going to bed too. Jackson had a lot of fun with grandpa. He liked sitting on his lap and reading stories with him.

This is Jackson and Xavier. Grandpa has a lot of tractors on the farm and the kids love to sit on them. After Jackson sat on one for the first time, he kept saying "tractor" wanting to sit on it. There's no bathtub in Sandy Valley. There's only a shower so we gave Jackson a bath in the kitchen sink. He didn't really want to get in at first, but once he finally got in and sat down he had a lot of fun playing in water. But then he pooped in the sink and we made him get out. He was sad to get out.

Hair Cut

Jackson and Doug both got hair cuts last night. Doug cut Jackson's hair while I held him so he would be too scared. After Jack's hair was finished I cut Doug's hair. Jackson always looks so different to me after we cut his hair. But still just as cute.

BEFORE

AFTER
(I don't have an after shot of Doug's hair... But it does look good)

I also got my hair cut and colored last week. Here is my after shot. I don't have a good one from before... My hair is in a pony tail in most pictures of me.

Cleaning up

Before we cut Jack's hair we got the broom out. He picked it up right away and started sweeping. He's a good helper already.

Binkies

Jackson has always loved his binky. We usually just let him have it at bedtime and at church. A while ago he started wanting to have two binkies with him when he slept. He wanted one in his mouth and one in his hand. I think this started because I would usually put an extra one in his bed in case he lost the other one. Then a few weeks ago Doug gave him two binkies when he put him to bed, but they weren't his normal ones. One of them was a different one. So he wanted his other normal one too. Doug gave it to him and since then he wants three binkies when he goes to sleep: one in his mouth and one in each hand. When he wakes up in the morning and after his nap he always has to find them since he doesn't hold them the whole time he's sleeping. (I think he just likes to play with them before he sleeps most of the time.) He looks on the side of his bed and under it. He crawls under the bed to get any under there. I used to get them for him, but since my tummy's getting bigger I realized he should just get them :)

Nursery

Today was Jackson's first day of nursery. We didn't know how well he's do with us leaving him there. He usually cries when we leave him places. He also gets a little nervous when he's with people he doesn't know and he didn't know anyone in nursery. But he did good. The leaders said that he cried a little at first, but was ok after that. They also said that he loved when they brought out the bubbles. This picture is of him and the picture he drew in nursery.

Bubbles

Jackson loves bubbles. They are one of his favorite things along with balls and balloons. So about a month ago I thought that he would love to take a bubble bath. I filled up the tub and he got excited. He kept saying "bubble, bubble!" But then I tried to put him in and he said, "no, no!" He lifted his legs up and cried when he touched the bubbles. Since then I have tried to get him to not be afraid to touch bubbles. A couple nights ago he was watching me wash dishes and kept touching the bubbles with his fingers. He was so sad when we were done that I thought he would like a bubble bath. Again I filled up the tub with water and bubbles. He was again excited and kept saying "bubble, bubble!" But he didn't want to get in the tub. After 10 or 15 minutes of me trying to get him to not be afraid he finally stood in the bubbles and tried to pop them with his fingers. Then after another 5 or 10 minutes he finally sat down in them and played happily. He's such a funny boy.
After Jack was comfortable playing with the bubbles. I asked if we should put some on his head and as I asked a put some there. But he started saying "no,no" and kind of crying. So I said ok. He stopped crying without even realizing that he had bubbles on his head :)

Pictures of Jackson

I recently was looking at pictures when Jackson was little. He has so many cute pictures. I decided to make a slide show of some of my favorites. I was going to use pictures from when he was born until now, but I found that there are so many I like from when he was little so I just used pictures from the first few months of his life.

Funny Jackson

I love being able to stay at home with Jackson everyday. He is so much fun to take care of. Here are some pictures of him making funny faces and doing funny things. He always brightens up my day. He's a silly boy and loves making Doug and I laugh.
