Pictures from the month

Coleman loves to come in when we're almost finished with puzzle and help complete it. Sometimes he'll help in the beginning or middle, but mostly he just likes to help with the last 50-100 pieces.

We invited the Ramsay kids over and I looked outside and saw them like this. They were playing Mafia.

Ashlee sent my mom, Michelle, and I this pictures while the fires were burning in Sumner. The red are was all evacuated. The black spot is where she lives. The evacuation area was too close to comfort to them, but when Ashlee drove into Sumner she saw the fires weren't close at all though.

We had one last day of swimming at the pool. Only Kenzie, Cam, Jack, and Grandpa swam. The water was a bit dirty so we didn't think they'd be able to swim. But when Ashlee came over she said she thought it was fine. So we let them swim. They didn't have a ton of time because Kenzie had her first day of dance that night!

When we were swimming, the air wasn't too bad. It was maybe a little smoky, but not really noticeable. The next day Kenzie and Coleman went to their friends' house. We met in the middle after so I didn't have to drive all the way to their house. While I was waiting I took this picture to show how gross and smoky it was. This was after the smoky air was blown in from the south.

We made Kenzie a mask for dance.

Kenzie sewed these felt dance slippers. They turned our so cute! I love her creativity! She decided to use a dance bag this year to keep all her shoes, and clothes, water bottle, and mask in. She's taking hip hop, acro (her favorite!), and lyrical. She's really excited for dance this year. This is the first time she's done dance because she wants to dance, not just because she wants to perform.

I found this cute picture of Nati on my phone :) I'm guessing Kenzie took it when she was facetiming Nati.

Kenzie made a pygmy puff and a home for it.

Kenzie made a food chain.

Jackson played Minecraft online with his friend Alex.

Kenzie resting in her cage:)

Pokemon Party

Kenzie, Jordan, and Coleman went to a Pokemon party yesterday at our friends', the Johnsons, house. They had a lot of fun! My friend, Elizabeth, sent me these pictures.
They played charades with Pokemon characters.

Bunnies!

We found a breeder to buy a bunny from so we went yesterday morning to let Kenzie choose her top few choices. They aren't old enough to go home with families yet and there are a few people who are still deciding which bunny they want. Kenzie chose her top 4 and will hopefully get one of them. If not though, all of them are so cute we'd still be okay with whichever one we got :)
Kenzie was in bunny heaven in the cage with 15 or so bunnies.

She was able to hold them as much as she wanted. They often jumped out of her hand pretty quickly. The owner taught her the best way to hold them to help them to feel safe.

Kenzie Turns 11!

Coleman is always so excited to decorate for birthdays. He said the day before Kenzie's birthday that the only bad thing about your own birthday is that you can't help decorate. He decorated a breakfast spot for Kenzie. He moved a chair by the counter and put streamers by it and got out her bread, butter, and a plate. She put it all by the toaster and decorated them with streamers.

Kenzie was so, so excited for her birthday! The first thing she did was open presents.

She loved her card and money from Grandma Dance

Coleman gave her a Hedwig stuffed animal.

She had to give him a tackle hug.

He didn't mind.

Jackson and Jordan gave her a Gryffindor tower play set.

She loved it and had to give them hugs too!

Hugging Jackson

Hugs for daddy because he said we'd get her bunny for the bunny cage she opened next!

The bunny cage is behind her. There were a few presents inside the cage, so she was excited to open those too. She got some clothes.

Including a new Hermione cloak. She thought her old one was too short.

And some Harry Potter perler beads. I thought she would like these, but I had no idea how much she would love them.

Trying out her cage :)

Coleman eating

Kenzie wanted to go the skate board park. The kids loved running around the pits.

Coleman's outfit made me laugh :) His pants were tucked into his socks.

The birthday girl!

Jordan ready to skateboard.

Jackson scootering. It had been awhile since he scootered and thought the scooter was so small.

Kenzie biked around.

We went through a car wash. We splurged on the ultimate wash for her birthday :)

Next, we went to Covington park. It had been so long since we've played at a park (other than the small neighborhood park near our house.)

Coleman.
At the skate board park, Doug told me to make sure I take pictures of all the kids because I usually have more of Coleman. But by the end the morning he understood I have more of Coleman mostly because he is always wanting me to take pictures of him.

Coleman requested a picture (a movie) of him zip lining.

Jordan, Jackson, Kenzie

Before we left Kenzie was riding Coleman's bike. She swerved to avoid a little boy and rode into the bark. She seemed to have everything under control, but after she turned, still on the wet bark, she crashed and smashed her stomach into the handle bars. It hurt her a lot, and was sore the rest of the day (and the next couple days.)

We picked up Little Caesar's on the way home. Kenzie didn't eat much because of her stomach, and was a bit sad.

But then she started doing perler beards. She made badges for all of us (except Jackson because she ran out of green beads) for our Hogwarts houses. She also made several characters. The disappointing thing about the kit, was that it didn't come with many red or green beads. So I ordered more beads that came the next day. All the kids have been having fun with them.

After awhile she turned on Jesse to watch while she created.

Making Dobby

Gryffindor and Hufflepuff badges.

We ate Taco Bell for dinner. After some more perler bead playing we had dessert.

She wanted muddy buddies, but since candles don't work well in muddy buddies, we put it in the cake we had left from her family party.

Yummy! She told me I could have as many as of them as I wanted too. She's so nice:)

That night, Kenzie, Jordan, and I watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Doug had a headache and went to bed early.

Her presents from the Kenyons arrived the next couple days. She got some wax sticks to make things with. She was excited for them!

She was excited when another presents from the Kenyon's came...

Hermione clothes for her doll! She was really excited about these too. She had such a fantastic birthday!
