Mother's Day and Family Party

On Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day and Jack and Cam's birthdays! The Crabtrees came home Friday for good! We're excited they're back and done travelling :)
My Mother's Day gifts! An 8 Ball from Coleman (he said he jokingly told Doug he wanted to get me one, but wasn't serious, but Doug had bought it :)), a hair mask, card and candy from Kenzie, a Tour de Pizza pizza cutter and card from Jordan, Steph Curry from Jackson, and a sewing thing from Doug.

At church the young men and men in the ward who wanted to sang a musical number. Coleman didn't want to go up, but I convinced him to go (with the help of his friend that beckoned him to come.) Jordan went up and was the accompanist! He had kept it a secret to surprise me. I love hearing him play!

Cam had been opening presents when we got there (I think they were from Ash, and she was hoping to finish before we got the so she didn't have an audience :)) so we handed her our present for her and she kept opening!

Jack sat to open his too.

Jack wanted red velvet cake.

And Cam wanted Babe Ruth bars.

It was a fun day!

Jackson's Birthday!

Jackson came home last weekend to celebrate his birthday early and for Mother's Day. We had a busy weekend of sports and dance, but we had fun celebrating! He came with Doug and I to Jordan's last soccer game on Friday, then after dinner at Cafe Rio he opened his presents. On Saturday we went to Olive Garden for lunch and had Papa John's for dinner.

Kenzie got him a tennis ball jelly cat stuffed animal.

He was excited about all his presents!

About Jackson:
He's loving college life
He loves tennis and plays on the tennis club
He's playing on an intramural soccer team
He still loves video games
He loves watching football, hockey, and basketball
He's doing well in his classes
He's planning on majoring in Computer Science and maybe minoring in business
He's well-liked by everyone he meets
He's smart
His favorite book is Tress of the Emerald Sea
He's very competitive
He's kind, hard working, and responsible
He does tend to misplace keys and his wallet often (at home, his dorm isn't big enough to really lose things :))
He's been trying more new foods since he's been away
He's tired of cafeteria food and is excited to have a kitchen next year.
He's a great kid!
We love him so much!

Doubles

Kenzie got her ears pieced a second time with her friend Lorelei. She's excited about them!

Birds

Jordan got me a bird feeder for my birthday. After we got some birdseed and Doug put the bird feeder on the window, it took a few days before the birds came to eat. We were all excited once they finally came!
Kenzie sent me a picture!

And so did Jordan!

More Spring Sports

Jordan playing goalie.

Kenzie had her last tennis match last week. She played great and loved playing all season!

After her last tennis practice (which wasn't really practice, they did comment cards and awards voting) the JV girls went to Menchies!

Coleman started baseball!

Kenzie playing volleyball. Jordan likes being line judge at her games.

Coleman playing soccer.

Now that it's sunny pickleball is usually played at my parents' house on Sundays.

Jordan had his last JV soccer game of the year. His team won!

Coleman had his first baseball game last Saturday. His coach had him pitch (Coleman didn't really want to :)) But he did great!

He threw lots of strikes, which meant the other team was able to put the ball in play if they didn't strike out. It's always more fun for everyone when the teams get hits instead of walks.

And he was so cute pitching! :)

20 years!

Doug and I celebrated 20 year on May 7! I've now been married to him for half my life! We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then spent the evening watching NBA playoffs while the kids were at mutual. I skipped so I could hang out with him :)

40

I turned 40 last week! While 40 feels kind of old, when you're the youngest on both sides of the family it doesn't feel as old when your siblings and in laws are in their 50s or getting close to 50 :) I had a great day! Doug and the kids are always so good and making it amazing!
I opened presents after Jordan got home from school.

I got lots of great things! It was weird not having Jackson around.

Next we went bowling...
Doug

Kenzie

Kenzie wanted to try out the bowling helper.

Jordan

All of us! Somehow I didn't get a picture of Coleman bowling. Oops! We played two games and I won the first!

Next we went to Banyan Tree for lunch. Kenzie was supposed to have a tennis match, but it got cancelled. We went home and played games. Kenzie still had practice and Jordan had a soccer game so they left for those things. Doug drove Kenzie around so I could stay and play games :)

We went to Jordan's game. He's playing with JV for the rest of the season. He played goalie for the second half.

After dinner at Cafe Rio, we had cake and later some muddy buddies!

Cards from my parents. Usually my mom just gets the cards for us, but since she left town a week before my birthday, my dad got me one too :)

Kent Soccer

Coleman's playing Kent soccer now. His team has so far been doing really good. He scored a goal in his most recent game!

YM Basketball Tournament

Jordan and Coleman played in the end of season ym basketball tournament. They ended up 3rd out of 7 teams. Now they're going to be competing in regionals. Doug's team also ended up third (even though they finished the regular season in first) in the tournament. They'll be playing in regionals too!

End of Covington Soccer

Coleman's Covington soccer season ended. It's weird to think we're done with Covington soccer after having at least one kid playing most seasons for the last 13 years.

It's always fun to watch Coleman play!

C Team Ends

Jordan's season with c-team ended in the middle of April. He had a lot of fun and enjoyed playing goalie all season long!
