First Day of School!

Coleman started preschool today. I'm sad he's big enough for school. But happy for him because he's so excited to go. We were going to take him to a preschool in Auburn, about 15 minutes away. But then found out a lady in our stake, that lives about 5 minutes for us had an open spot Monday morning. We decided to do that instead. It will cut our driving time from about an hour per preschool day to about 20 minutes. I took Coleman shopping for a backpack yesterday. He found one he loves. And it was 50% off which I loved :) Then I took him to his preschool to meet his teacher and see the classroom. This morning he had his first day. He loved it and can't wait to go back.
When I told him we need to take a picture he turned around so I could see his backpack. He's proud of it :)

So handsome! We bought him a new back to school shirt.

This is his I'm excited about preschool pose.

The rest of us started homeschool today. Kenzie was sad she wasn't go back to preschool. She did love doing homeschool though.

Jackson's and Jordan's Greek Urns.

Here's a few cute things Colie has said the last couple days:
I asked him what he thought he'd learn in preschool. His answer: Jesus Christ. After preschool one of my kids asked him what he learned. He said he only learns in Sunbeams. Then he said Jesus Christ prays. He cracks me up.
When we were going in to meet his teacher he wanted to wear his backpack. He told me that he though she would say "That's a cool backpack!" She did say something to that effect:)
I asked him he thought there would be other kids in preschool. He said no.
When I asked him what he did, he said he played play doh, played outside, read a book. and did a puzzle.
He said he ate 1 raisin for snack.
He kept singing "I'm bringing home a baby bumbleebee" this afternoon.
I think he must have not talked a lot at school because he didn't want to stop talking at home and he was extra loud :)

Soccer

Kenzie and Jackson both started soccer last week. The both love it so far. I didn't get any picture of Jack's practice because I had to leave right after the parent meeting to get Kenzie to her practice. Doug went to Jack's after he got home from work.
Little kindergartners are so cute playing soccer.

I'm excited to watch their games!

Last Weeks of Summer Vacation

We met our friends for a day at the Science Center. My friend's son had thought they were going to ride a train the next time they came to Seattle so we decided to ride the monorail. The kids loved it even though it was a really short ride.

While on the monorail we saw a new park that we decided to go to.

You can only get up through the ladder tunnel on the left or the big spider web on the right. There was a long line to go through the ladder tunnel.

Kenzie waited in line a long time to go through the tunnel. Later she tried to go up the spider web, but got scared and ended sitting on it for awhile almost crying because she didn't think she could go up or down. Jack went up and helped her get down.

Kenzie is in there.

I love how Kenzie loves to put her animals to bed.

I wanted to take a picture of Coleman and he ran in my bathroom and told me to take one like that.

He loves dressing up.

Jackson and Kenzie are both playing soccer this year. We bought them all the stuff they needed. As soon as we got home they put all their gear on and ran outside to play soccer together, and with Jordan and Coleman.  Then the next morning they woke up, ate breakfast, then played soccer again. In their pajamas.

I didn't get a picture of Coleman, but he would always wear his rain boots. It was so cute. I also didn't get a picture of them actually playing. Sometimes they played a game, but they also would line up and take turns kicking the ball into the net.

We also went to Wild Waves a few times. The last day we went it was a little cold and we didn't do the water. Since it was kind of cold, the lines were so short.
Kenzie started dancing while we waited for the boys to ride the Wild Thing.

The boys are in the second car. They didn't sit by each in other. Instead they just sat by themselves.

I'm always happy when they make it through the loop still in their seats :)

They all rode the cars. Kenzie only wanted to ride if Jackson did. Jack rode so she would ride it.

Colie went on the Paratrooper. He loved it. He rode with me the first time, then with Jordan.

I love this picture.

Jack and Jordan were 1st in line for the pirate ship. They decided to sit on opposite ends. Jordan's on the left, and Jackson is on the right.

I thought I should get a picture of the kids in front of the Scrambler sign since it's always our first and last ride since we can all ride it and we all like it. The kids didn't cooperate so well though.
Jordan kept trying to do bunny ears.

Which made Jackson bad. When I pointed out to Jackson that he very often gives people bunny ears in pictures, his reply was that he does it when they don't know.  He thinks that's better.

Kenzie helped Doug make me Muddy Buddies. Then she licked the bowl clean. We were both happy:)

Day 26 - Flying Home

Our Hawaii home. We miss it.

Doug took the rental car back while the rest of us hung out at the airport playing Go Fish and Old Maid.

Everything went very smooth in the airport. We got there extra early to make sure we didn't miss our flight this time :) Doug played cards with the boys.

Kenzie and Colie played with her doll house toys.

The flight went well. It was uneventful, as all good flights are :) I thought I was kind of ready to come home, but as soon as we walked off the plane I was wishing we were back in Hawaii. It was such a fun and amazing trip. I love Hawaii. I love being with my family. I can't wait until next time!
