Black Friday

Our plan for the day was decorate and watch Christmas movies. I also did a little online shopping and we met my mom and some of the Crabtrees for lunch.

Every year we decorate the kids like to dress up as Santa :) Jackson started doing it when he was 2 I think.

After lunch Alli came with us and we watched Rudolph, Garfield's Christmas, 3 Alvin and the Chipmunk movies (2 of them were Christmas, the third was just also on the dvd), and Frosty the Snowman. After dinner we also watched Polar Express. Jackson and Alli left before Frosty the Snowman to go see Maleficent and How to Train your Dragon 2 at the $3 theater, Jackson hasn't seen a real movie (other than our short IMAX movies we see at the science center) in the theater since he was 5. He wasn't too into it then so we just haven't gone back (plus I have 3 other kids who would probably get bored/scared at the longness and loudness of the movies in the theater. He came home super excited about the night.

Thanksgiving

We went to my parents' house for Thanksgiving this year. It was only us, my parents, and the Crabtrees this year. We played games, watched football, and ate a very yummy meal.
We had a Space game tournament to see who could get the most points. Doug won it. Sam came in second.

Kenzie took some pictures:
My dad and Jordan having a great conversation.

 Sam and Jack

 Doug, Cute Colie, and Grandpa

We always look through the ads to see what deals we can get the next day. I didn't look too much this year since I wasn't planning on doing any shopping since Doug had to work Black Friday.

 Kimber

 Ashlee

 Kimber again

 Grandma

 Kimber and the fabulous chef.

My dad always carves the turkey.

Coleman was really attached to Doug all day.

 Kenzie loves looking at books.

 Ashlee made some yummy roles!

Kimber, Sam, Alli, Kenzie, Camryn. We wish the Kenyon girls could be in the picture too.

Kimber grabbed my camera and took the rest of the pictures:
I mashed the potatoes. Usually Ashlee or I do it. She was busy doing rolls so I got the job.

Sam, Cam, Konrad, Ashlee, Jordan (see if you can find him!), my mom, my dad, and me.

 Cute Camryn

And Camryn again.

It was a fun day! Although Kenzie said it's not really a holiday because "all we do is eat chicken." She thinks presents are a must for a holiday to be a holiday. :)

Kenzie and Colie

Kenzie wanted to play with my stuffing. She pulled tons of it out the bag.

They were pretending it was snow.

I've been sewing more lately, and I've been having the boys start working on Christmas presents that we want to make. While we were looking at some fabric I noticed some fabric that matched Kenzie's out fit perfectly. I told her we should make her a headband with it. She loved the idea and helped me a little bit with making it. She doesn't seem to like sewing as much as the boys yet.

I thought it turned out cute. She loves it too. She wanted me to make one for Nati because Nati has the same outfit (thanks to Ashlee :)) so we made her one and mailed it to her... Hopefully it won't get lost in the mail :)  We don't have any more of that fabric to make a new one!

She wanted a picture of her ponytail.

Global Dance Show

The kids and I went to a Global Dance Show in Seattle. We were meeting our group around 10:30, but since I didn't want to be late and was worried their might be traffic (which there wasn't) or that I would get lost (which I didn't) we ended up getting there around 9:30. We waited outside since my friend had bought all the tickets to get the group rate. While we were waiting several school buses dropped students off for the show. As they would walk past us they would sometimes comment on my kids' cuteness. Once when they had said something about Coleman I told he could smile and wave at the kids. When the next group of kids walked past I noticed more were looking at Colie and smiling. I looked at him and he was smiling and waving at the kids. It was super cute. The kids loved it and were waving at him and were telling their friends to look at Mickey Mouse.
Isn't he adorable?

Kenzie wanted to wear dance clothes :)

The show was really good. I really enjoyed it and the kids liked it a lot too.

These are group shots from the finale. They Tongan, African, Filipino, hip hop, and Mexican dancing. Each group performed 2 dances and then they all danced together in the finale.

I definitely want to go see it again when do a show again. I think they do it every year.

Reading and Orthostats

I've been working with Kenzie on reading more, and she does well reading, but she doesn't really like to do it. She thinks it's too hard, but it's really not. One morning she and Jack were playing really well so I asked her if she wanted Jackson to do her reading with her she said yes and he agreed. It was cute to watch :)

The boys made orthostats for the Geography through art.
Jack carved a giraffe into the wet clay.

Jordan made a rainbow. He also carved me and him in it.

Halloween

On Halloween night we went to diner at Pizza Hut, which took way too long. Apparently ordering pizza to go is the thing to do on Halloween. After we ate we went to the Crabtree's to go trick or treating. My parents came too. My mom and Ashlee stayed behind to pass out candy. Kimber and Sam were with friends. The rest of went around the neighborhood.
Superman, Supergirl, Lollipop Girl, Banana, Astronaut, Ladybug

Checking out their candy and sorting it!
