For Grandma Dance...

Carving Pumpkins

Last night we carved pumkins at my mom's house with my sister's family. It was fun. Jackson and I carved a sad pumkin and Doug carved an alien.

Doug, Jackson, Ashlee, Allison, and Kimber taking out the insides. Jackson actually helped some with that this year. Last year he thought it was too gross. He still wouldn't touch them with his hands though... He just used a spoon. Ashlee's girls loved pulling it all out and getting their hands all gooey.

Mackenzie wore this cute skeleton outfit during our Halloween festivities day.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumking patch yesterday. We all had a lot of fun. There was a ton of activities for the kids to do. There was a a little corn maze that we had to find pictures of animals in. Jack was really excited everytime he found one. There was a tractor to sit on, bubbles they could make with huge bubble wands, slides, kernals of corn that they could play it and slide into, a fake horse they could sit on and then lasso a cow, a hay ride, a tractor ride, animals to look at, and hay to climb on .

Jack on the tractor.

Jordan milking a cow.

Jordan on the slide.

Horse Jordan and cow Jack.
Horse Doug and Cow Jack. I tried to get all three boys with animal heads (there were other animals you could put your head through) but Jordan didn't stay still long enough. It would have been cute though.

Jordan climbing through a tunnel in the place where the could climb on hay.

Jordan and Jackson on the tractor ride. They were pulled in these things by a tractor. They loved it. Well, they loved it the first time, I guess Jordan cried the second time. Jackson said he was scared.

We also bought the boys some little pumkins from the pumkin patch.

Jackson found the littlest one he could.
After we got home from the pumpkin patch Jackson and I went to a Halloween Festival at a local elementary school. There were crafts and games for the kids to play. Jackson got to wear his superman costume. After doing the crafts and games we went trick or treating down the street next to the elementary school where a lot of the businesses were giving away candy. People seemed to love Jack's costume. As we were walking down the street people kept saying "hi superman" and things like that. Jack loved the trcik or treating. Each time, after he'd get candy from one place, he's say "is I going to get more candy?" It was cute. After trick or treating we did some grocery shopping and Jack started to try to climb on the pumpkins at Safeway. I thought he looked cute in his costume with all the pumkins around him, so before I made him get down I took a picture:

Doesn't he look so cute in his costume? It was a lot of fun to spend a lot of one on one time with him, with no interruptions.

One Month

Mackenzie turned one month old last Thursday. She hasn't changed much this month. She still sleeps a lot. She still likes to be held, but does ok laying down by herself too as long as she's not too tired or hungry. We weighed her using our Wii fit plus scale and according to that she was 8.8 lbs, so almost 9. The boys are still loving her. Jordan loves to give her kisses and tries to give her her binky when she cries. Today she started crying and he started looking all over for it. He kept saying uh oh until I helped him find it. Once when I was changing her poopy diaper Jordan was watching and as soon as I opened her diaper he said "gross!" I didn't even know he could say that word. He said it because every time I change his poopy diaper I say gross. I thought it was pretty funny. Here are some pictures of our cute little girl...
Kenzie on her one month birthday.

I love when babies lay like this with their hands above their hands. I think it's so cute. Our babies never seem to do it that much because we usually swaddle them when they're sleeping. Jack did it the most because we swaddled him the least during the day when he was this young.

Zoo Boo

We went to one of our zoo's Zoo Boo yesterday. The kids wore costumes, did crafts, received candy, and looked at the animals. It was a lot of fun. We were worried because when we driving there it was pouring. Doug said it was flood rain in Las Vegas. The craft stuff was supposed to be inside so we went anyways. It ended up not being too rainy when we were there. Here's the pictures:
Doug and Jackson when we first got there. It was pouring when we were walking in so we needed the umbrella and coats and we were still getting a little wet.

Jordan and Mackenzie both stayed dry in the stroller.

Doug, Jackson, and Jordan being eaten by a shark.

Mackenzie slept the whole time. She was dressed up as a pumpkin and looked very cute.

Jackson colored this bat. Jordan didn't color very long and walked around the aquarium with Doug following him.

Jackson got to bowl. He loves bowling. Usually he just throws/rolls balls to the wall and calls it bowling. He also calls the bowling pins bombs... I'm not really sure why. I think we have a book that has dinosaurs bowling with bombs or something.

Jackson didn't want to wear the costume we got him for halloween this year and chose to wear the Winnie the Pooh costume he wore last year. I hope he'll wear his new one on Halloween. Since he wasn't wearing his real costume I put Jordan in the monkey costume we have. He looked cute in it, even though it was a little small. He's wearing his real cosutme underneath. It's a little small too. His Tigger costume from last year was a little small too. Next year we are buying him one that actually fits.

Jackson got a jelly fish painted on his arm. It wasn't the spray kind that he usually gets and we didn't like it as much. It was wet and smeared easily.

Jordan had a snake painted on his arm. He loved it. Throughout the rest of the day he would try to find it and get frustrated because he couldn't see it. We'd have to show him which arm it was on or pull up his sleeve so he could see it. When he saw it he would get so happy. (I don't know why my pictures keep turning out sideways... I tried to fix it but it didn't work. I guess this is just how blogger thinks the picture should go.)

This is Jack and Jordan with the penguins.

We ate lunch at the zoo.

This peacock came over while we were eating and Jordan threw a huge piece of his sandwich down for it eat. The peacock picked it up right after it hit the ground. He stuck around the rest of lunch time. The boys did not like him being around. Jack kept putting his hand out toward it whenever it would come kind of close and say "go away peacock go away."

First Day of Church

Mackenzie went to church for the first time last week. She slept the entire time except the last 10 minutes, which was great because the boys, especially Jordan, didn't want to be left in nursery and so I spent the last hour and a half with them. Mackenzie stayed with Doug. The nursery leaders said Jackson and Jordan were holding hands crying after I left. They said it was pretty cute. I was excited for Kenzie's first day of church because it meant I got to put her in her first dress and I thought she looked so cute. I was a little sad she slept all through church because I didn't get to show off her cute outfit. Today she didn't sleep the entire time and I did get to show off her cute outfit, but it wasn't as cute as last weeks. Here's her first Sunday photo shoot...

We also went to my parents' house for dinner and we took the opportunity to finally get our first family picture since Mackenzie was born. My boys are very hard to take good pictures of together. Only one is usally smiling and looking toward the camera. I was happy that they're both looking at the camera even if they're not smiling.

My 3 Kids

Here's a lot more pictures of my kids...
Mackenzie
This is close to one of my favorite faces that Jordan makes. Usually he looks more excited, especially with his eyes. I keep trying to capture the look I love, but I just haven't been able to.

Isn't he so cute?

Jack sat on the couch and said take a picture of me like this. So I did. He's cute too.

Jordan in his favorite outfit: rain boots, rain jacket, hat, and jeans. Lately he's been picky about what he wears. He love jeans and always pulls them off the shelf when I'm getting him dressed. He's also picky about his shirts. He doesn't have favorite ones, but will often shake his head at the ones I pick out. I have to convince him it's a cool shirt to wear first.
More Mackenzie

Jordan loves to get rags out of the kitchen drawer and wipe up spills. It's pretty cute to watch. Usually he runs to me and says rag then runs to the drawer and gets one and runs back to the mess and wipes it up then puts the rag back.

tummy time

Mackenze makes this face a lot.

More cute Mackenzie... I think this outfit is really cute.

big yawn

She's really so cute...

Jordan likes to climb on the table these days... Actually he likes to do most things I don't want him to.

Jordan's 18 month Check up

I took Jordan to the doctor last week for his 18 month check up. He's doing well... The doctor kept saying he's very intelligent. I tried to prepare Jordan for this check up by teaching him things that Jack's doctor asked at 18 months. So I made sure he knew how to jump (or at least act like he was jumping since he can't really get his feet off the ground) and where some of his body parts are. We even practiced while waiting for the doctor. But the doctor didn't ask those questions. I was disappointed. At Jack's appointment he failed the jumping test. He had no idea what jumping was. He did know where his body parts were though... Jordan's doctor only asked safety quesitons (to see if I was keeping him safe) and if he could say three words. Since he can say a lot more than 3 words he passed his test. Here's his growing stats:

height: 34 1/4 inches tall which was around the 100th percentile.
weight: about 25 lbs. which was a little under the 50th percentile.

Pictures of our Life

I think I've taken more pictures in the last week than I did in the rest of September. Here's some of the pictures that I've taken, mostly of the boys since Mackenzie's pictures are in another post...
Jack and Mackenzie

Jackson went to his second friend (who was actually his cousin but it wasn't a family party, just a friend party) birthday party last weekend. It was his first birthday party without us their with him. He seemed to have fun. I enjoyed the candy he brought home but didn't like.

Jordan was really excited to be sitting in this tall chair.

Jack making his peanut butter sandwich.

The boys love racing. The run from the wall to the couch. Then they do it again.

Jordan loves his blankets. He also loves to have them spread out so he can dance on them and sit on them and he especially loves laying on them and having Doug swing him in the blanket. He often lays on one of his 4 blankets and says weee, meaning he wants to swing. He also does this after baths when he's on his towel.

Jordan with another of his blankets. This one is his very favorite blanket. I was a little sad that he chose it to be his favorite because it's a very good swaddling blanket. But my friend gave us an even better one for Mackenzie.

Jackson loves taking pictures with the camera. He likes to take them of himself. So we have several pictures that look like this one.

Jordan loves to wear hats. He also apparently likes headbands. He did give up this headband though when Doug gave him a hat instead. At least he likes hats better than headbands.

Tonight Doug went upstairs to put Mackenzie to bed and told me I need to come upstairs to see Jackson. This is how we found him. Completely asleep on the floor by the door of his room. He was probably waiting for us to come up and tell him to get back in bed and fell asleep. He's never been the kind of kid that sleeps in weird places but this week we've found him like this by his door and sleeping in his rocking chair next to his bed during nap time. I guess being able to get out of bed makes it easier for him to sleep in weird places.
