For my and Jackson's mother/son outing in September we went back to school shopping. We had a lot of fun. He didn't think he would enjoy it as much as he did. He also got his first professional hair cut. He loved styling it everyday for the first week or so, but now he doesn't do it anymore. He loved getting it professionally cut and especially washed :)

Last Day of Wild Waves
While Kenzie was in Texas the boys and I went to Wild Waves for the last time. School had already started in a lot of districts and it was a cloudy/cool day so it was really empty. I think it was the emptiest I've ever seen it. We rode most the rides we normally do in about half the time. We also did the water, which was very cold. But we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed the fact that there weren't any lines :)
The boys say in the middle row the whole time Kenzie was gone and they loved having the whole back row to eat lunch in.
Redondo Beach
We went to Redondo beach with some friends.
The sun was too bright :)
The kids played in the rocks and sand.
There's a small aquarium we went to.
We were surprised to find out that these sea urchins are actually hard. We thought they would be soft and squishy.
There were also so activities we did. The kids got their faces painted.
Jackson made a bracelet.
Jordan wanted to be a cat.
Coleman made an octopus puppet.
He did a little puppet show for me.
Jordan was surprised to see how big this sign was.
The kids played in the water for awhile. It was so cold, but they didn't mind too much.
Our friends brought some kayaks. Jordan took Kenzie out for a little bit, but she was pretty nervous about it and wanted to come back in.
August Pictures
Jackson spent a lot of time this summer playing the Rubik's cube and trying to get faster at it. I don't remember his best time, but I think it was around a minute.
Colie and I are still working on his 100 Easy Lessons to Read book.
Doug and I went on a night away to Ellensburg. We went with some friends (who brought their son.) Before we went to Ellensburg we went to a team bonding event for Doug's work. I watched him and his co-workeds play a game called whirlyball. We were a little late and when we arrived everyone was telling me how good Doug is at playing and they all wanted to be on his team :) We watched a meteor shower at Wild Horse Wind and Solar Plant. Then the next day we went to LIGO and learned about gravitational waves. Doug thought it was fascinating. I was a little bored :) My parents watched the kids and they had a great time!
Doug and I trying to have one on one outings with the kids each month. We each do something with 2 kids each month and then switch kids the next month. For my and Kenzie's first outing we saw Pete's Dragon. It was so fun!
Jordan loves sleeping on the floor. He actually loves sleeping right outside his door when we let him, but he's sometimes too loud to sleep out there.
Kenzie wanted it to be nice and dark when she was sleeping.
Mackenzie went to Texas for week with my parents and Alli to visit the Kenyons, and to go to Nati's baptism. She had a great time! She told me she didn't want to live there, only stay there for 10 years.
Coleman likes to climb on the table when he's wiping it.
Happy Birthday Sam
We had a fun swimming party for Sam's birthday. We all had a great time. The kids love swimming in the lake.
The birthday girl!
Grandma splurged and bought her a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
