June Pictures

Celebrating my dad's 65 birthday!

When Doug cleans he likes to take everything off the shelves and put it in the middle, and then start sorting and putting things away.

It looks much better now! And we can get in and out of the all four doors of the Leaf.

I took Coleman to the batting cage. He loved it and improved his hitting! I taught him to keep his elbow up, and he said that really helped.

Kenzie and Morgan at a yw activity.

Smores!

Coleman finished baseball! He missed his last 2 games because of young mens' camp, but he had a great season!

I've gone to a few Mariners' games with my mom. Doug and the kids came to two of them, and I went once with just her. She has new seats this year, and they're really nice!

Kenzie got a job working as a ref for Kent Park and Rec. She liked it sometimes. She was always worried she'd get yelled at, but never did. Jackson was reffing again too. He did get yelled at by one coach. There were only 6 or 7 refs for the season. Jordan thought about joining them but decided he really doesn't want to be a ref.

A cat in our yard!

Doug took Kenzie to get her nails done!

The first Sunday after Coleman's birthday, I was calling everyone to come get in the car to go to church, but I couldn't find Coleman. I decided to check the car and, sure enough, he was in there. He wanted to make sure he got to sit in the front :) He said he'd been there for about 5 minutes.

The kids playing with Grandpa.

We moved the bunny downstairs for the summer to keep her cool.

Deacon's Backpacking Trip

Coleman and Doug went backpacking at Greenwater Lakes with the deacons Friday-Saturday. There were 5 boys and 4 leaders that went. It sounds like they all had a great time!

Ready with their packs!

Doug said they could hear the river at night and it was great white noise.

Left at Home

While the other kids were at FSY this week, Coleman and I had fun playing around here.
On Tuesday we went to my parents' pool to swim. Blake and Mikah met us there to swim too. I forgot to get a picture of them all though.

The first jump of the season!

On Wednesday, we took Mikah and Bake to Wild Waves with us. The boys had a lot of fun running around, and I had a lot of fun lounging in a chair and reading my book :) The boys came back to our house for awhile and Blake slept over and spent most of Thursday at our house.

Kenzie was sending me lots of weird pictures of her, so we sent her one too. The three of us watch the 1st and 2nd Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

I took care of the bunny.

Friday Doug and Coleman went on a deacon's backpacking trip (there's another post about that!) and I stayed home alone at night for the first time since I think I was married, definitely since having kids.

FSY

Jackson, Jordan, and Kenzie went to FSY this week. They all had so much fun! Jackson roomed with Mason, Jordan with Tucker, and Kenzie with Delaynie. Kenzie stayed in Harrington Hall and the boys stayed in Todd/Phibbs Hall.

More of Jackson's photos:
Jackson had a lot of fun with kids he's standing next to, Deacon, who is also 18 and heading to college in the fall.

He also really liked their counselor.

The girls and boys in their company. (the girl in the front with her arms folded does dance with Kenzie. I thought she looked like the girl from dance, but since neither Kenzie nor Jackson said she was dance, I thought she must just be a lookalike. But when I asked Kenzie about it, she said it really was the girl)

Jackson was 1st out of 400 in a Kahoot game Friday night! He said Kenzie was second and her friend Taryn was third!

Jordan's pictures:

Jordan participated in the variety show by solving a Rubik's Cube! Kenzie was a great sister and daughter and videoed it.

Kenzie's pictures:
At girls' camp, Kenzie and Delaynie realized their friend Taryn was going to be at FSY this week too. They were all so excited! And then Taryn, and her friend Ava (who did co-op with us before her family moved away) were in their company. They had two girl groups and one boy group in their company. Most just had one of each.

I'm glad they were all able to go to FSY and have such a good time!
