Mac and Cheese

Everyday I ask Jack what he wants for lunch. And everyday he says "Mac and Cheese!" But I think he's starting to get sick of having it everyday. Most days a large portion of his food ends up on the floor. If we don't rush over to him when he says he's done he starts throwing. Sometimes he throws without even telling us he's done. I don't know what to do to break this bad habit. I usually just have him pick it up (which is what he's supposed to be doing in the picture). I've also decided that we should give mac and cheese a break for a little while until he starts to like it more again.

My conclusion...

Today Jordan was wearing a onsie that made him remind me of Jackson when he was a baby. So I thought I should pose him in a similar position to some pictures I have a Jack wearing the same onsie. I thought they would look a lot alike and that it possibly would be hard to tell them apart. As I took the pictures I kept thinking that he looked like Jack. Then I came up on the computer and compared the pictures and decided that I don't think they look much alike. Here's two of the pictures. Is it as easy for you guys to tell which baby is which?

Bugga Bugga

Jordan is now a month old and he's starting to smile. This morning I was taking pictures of him while Jackson was watching Dora. The episode was about bugga buggas (bugs that say bugga bugga). As I was taking pictures of Jordan I tried to sound like the bugga buggas and he smiled. I kept saying it and he kept smiling. I guess he thinks bugga buggas are pretty funny! I was happy to find a way to make him smile. Hopefully it will continue to work. I love his smile!

The ZOO!

Jackson and Jordan had their first trip to the zoo last week. We went with my mom and my sister and her three daughters. Although it was cold we had a blast! (I think we picked a bad time to go... The day before and after were both warmer and sunnier. Well, it did get warm as we were leaving though, but it was too late for us to enjoy it. So we had to bundle up in hats, coats, and gloves.) Jack loved the animals. I think his favorite ones were the gorillas. He kept talking about them the rest of the afternoon. Although there aren't any pictures of Jordan he really was there. He just slept through it all.

Ashlee, Allison, Sam, Kimber, Jackson, me, and the gorillas

Jackson and me... Jack didn't want to stop looking at the gorillas, not even for a picture.
Jack didn't want to turn away from the zebras and giraffes to smile for a picture either.

We were away from the animals so he looked at me. When I was taking this picture a lady came behind me without me realizing she was there and she danced around to make Jack smile. It worked. She told me she was there after I took the picture. Also Jack is sitting in our new double stroller. We love it. Jack is usually excited to sit in it and it is so easy to steer, much easier than our single stroller.

Donuts

My sister Ashlee and I started a new tradition last General Conference. We decided to make donuts while our husbands were at the priesthood session. My sister got the idea from President Hinkley's family. His wife and family would do the same thing. So this conference we decided to continue the tradition and make donuts again. We ended up making three different recipes and had a ton of donuts. The one we ended up liking the most was the easiest recipes... we just had to use refridgerater biscuits, put a hole in them, then put both the donuts and the donut holes in oil. We were pretty sick of donuts by the time we were finished making them all. We think we might alter our tradition next conference and try new recipes instead of making donuts each conference.

Jackson with his first donut. He didn't actually eat a whole one. He mostly would lick them or take a small bite and decided he didn't like it. He really doesn't like sweets.
