10 Months Old

Coleman is 10 month old today!

This jacket used to be my dad's when he was a baby. I found it at my grandma Riding's house after my grandpa died. I think my grandma made it. And I think it's really cute.  The zipper is broken though. But it still works out okay.

Some things about Coleman at 10 months:
He's even more mobile. He can get anywhere he wants. He can sit by himself from his scooting position.
He hasn't tried to go up or down the stairs yet. I've tried teaching him to go down a few times though.
I've been trying to get him to just  take one nap day when Kenzie naps.
He sleeps much  better now that he's on formula and in his own room.
He doesn't usually go back to sleep after eating in the morning when it's too early to get up . My other kids always did until 9 or so. He will lay happily in bed for a little while though so that's nice :)
He love watching his brothers and sister jump.
He loves playing with us all.
He loves being held.
He loves loves loves his binky.
He's loud.
He likes playing with the doors on our tv stand.
He likes reading books.
He likes putting everything in his mouth.
He loves being tickled. I love his laugh when he's being tickled.
He's super cute and we love him so much!

Fun with the Crabtree Girls

Ashlee and Konrad went on a short vacation last week. We watched their girls 2 and a half of the days they were gone. We had fun playing with them. Jackson was sad there were only there those couple days and was very sad when it was time for them to go home.

Kimber gave Kenzie a make-over. Kenzie was a little unsure of it until she looked in the mirror. Then she liked it. I realized I haven't ever played with make up with Kenzie. I used to love to do that with my nieces. I'll have to start doing it with Kenzie. Although Kimber's make up skills are probably better than mine :)

Jack and Sam played cards.

They played dress up. Alli is wearing a size 18 month monkey costume; Kimber is wearing a 2T or 3T dress up clothes, and I don't remember what Sam was being. Maybe a runner? Or just a boy? She stole one of Doug's shirt though.

Alli loved playing with and helping with Coleman.

Big News...

We bought a house! It isn't built yet though. But it will be in a few months. We're pretty excited about it. We were able to customize it to our liking. The only bad part about, and the only thing we couldn't customize is that we have to move about 15 minutes away from where we are now. I would have really liked to stay in the same ward.  But Doug always reminds me that I can still be friends with my friends after we move, even if we're not in the same ward :)

Easter!

We had a great Easter. We went to an Easter egg hunt planned by my sister at a park. My kids had a lot of fun. Kenzie wasn't feeling great, but perked up when she found out there was candy in the eggs she was looking for. We colored eggs the Saturday before Easter and Ashlee and I had our semi-annual baking day. On Easter we looked for the hard boiled eggs we colored and  for our Easter baskets. After church we went to my parents' house for their Easter party. We had a yummy dinner and found money-filled eggs in their yard. It was a fun weekend!

Most of the kids that were at the egg hunt. Kenzie refused to be in the picture.

Ashlee helped Kenzie find some eggs on the table.

Their Easter baskets. Coleman's is first, then Kenzie's, Jack's, and Jordan's.

Coloring Easter Eggs:
The boys remembered right away that they needed to stir their eggs with the spoons to get them all covered. They had to show and tell Kenzie how to do it.

Kenzie chose pink. Shocking, I know.

The kids and me. Coleman slept through it all, so he's not in the picture.

Grandma Dance sent us a fun egg coloring kit. It had some fake tattoo like things that we could rub onto the eggs. Thanks Grandma! :)

 Easter Mornnig:
They were trapped at the top of the stairs.

Jordan checking out his Easter surprises.

Jackson showing Coleman his.

Kenzie wished we would have let her keep sleeping.

She was not excited at all by anything that day. Not even candy. I didn't think she'd ever not be excited for candy.

Her Dora band-aids caused her the most excitement. She almost smiled. And she held them for a long time looking at them.

After looking through their baskets the boys finished finding the hidden eggs.

Coleman was excited that there were so many fun things to play with on the floor.

Jordan jumped on the jumpsmart to see if there were any up high.

The outside egg hunt at my parents' house:
This was the only time in the day Kenzie showed much happiness. The rest of the time she extra clingy and whiny..

Jack had a couple of the Noel boys (family friends) helping him so he got a lot of eggs.

Do you notice what everyone is wearing? On Easter? In April? In Washington? Shorts! It was so nice and warm and sunny. Usually Easter is cold and rainy so it was especially great to the outside egg hunt.

Birthdays

It was Doug and my mom's birthdays on the 2nd and 3rd of this month. We went over to my mom's on the 1st to celebrate.
My mom opening presents.

Typical Kenzie.

Doug opening presents.

My mom and Doug with their desserts.

Blowing out the candles.

On Doug's actual birthday we decorated our house and wrapped and his some presents. My kids love hiding his birthday presents every year :) We got a Vitamix blender awhile ago and that was both of our birthday presents. I did let the kids pick out a few things at Target.

Jack chose V8 Fusion.  He got 2 of them.

Jordan was a little sick.

This was the only present that Kenzie knew where it was. She kept trying not to tell him, but in the end couldn't resist. She was so cute.

Jordan chose to get him some Reese's Puffs.

I took this picture of Kenzie and right after she said she wanted to "see my sad face." )

Being silly.

Yes! Candy!

Cute Jackson.

Daddy kisses.

The boys made some cute cards for Doug.

Cute Colie.

Doug's remaining Babe Ruth bars from Sunday's party.

Excited to watch daddy blow out candles and then eat the dessert. She's the only  kids that likes it. Jordan should though. Maybe he just didn't want any because he was so tired and ready for bed.

Excited to blow out the candles.

He blew them all out!
