I take a lot of pictures now

Now that I have a cute little baby who's always changing I take a lot more picture than I have been. That means I'll probably be blogging a lot more now so I can share all the cute pictures I take. Here are the ones from this past week...

Coleman still sleeps a lot.

Coleman and I were twins one day.

Jackson and Jordan doing some art.

Coleman often wrinkles his forehead. Even if his eyes are closed it's usually wrinkled until he actually falls asleep.

Doug and the baby.

Jackson holding Coleman.

Cute little Mackenzie. She saw her brother's getting their picture taken for their before haircut shots and wanted to have hers taken too.

Wrinkly forehead again.

Jordan playing the leapster.

Kenzie wanted her picture taken again when she saw the big boys getting their picture taken.

Jordan and I were playing Memory yesterday and he picked a snail card and said "I don't like snails" and made this face. Then he kept making this face and saying that he doesn't like snails every time he picked the snail card. He made me laugh every time he did it.

2 of Kenzie's favorite things. Those jammies and her crocs. She almost always wants to be wearing her crocs. She has recently decided that she cares what she wears and will fight us if we try to make her wear something she doesn't want to wear. And most days she just wants to stay in her jammies. If we're going anywhere I have to convince her to change out of them so we can go. Luckily she does like to go places so I just have to tell her wear we're going and she's usually ok with getting dressed.
A few more things about Kenzie these days:
She says "I will!" a lot. She says it whenever she wants to do something herself, especially if the boys start doing something she wants to do.
She still refuses to hold Coleman or kiss him but has recently started saying "Hi Coleman" while waving at him. It's pretty cute.

Coleman tried out his swing for the first time yesterday. He liked it when it was swinging. But it didn't have batteries in it, so it stopped swinging a lot until someone would push it for him. He was in it while we were putting the other kids in bed. After we put Jordan in bed we were putting Jackson and Mackenzie when Jordan came out of his room and said "I think Coleman needs another rock." and went over to push him a little bit. It was pretty funny. He did it another time or two before we finished putting Jack and Kenzie to bed and finally took Coleman out of the swing and brought him downstairs with us.

The boys.

Fun with Cousins

My sister Michelle came up this week to visit. Her family is moving in just a few weeks to Texas so this was one of the last times we'll see them before they move and then we won't get to see them for probably a year or so. We had fun while they were up here. We hung out at my mom's house on Sunday, then Ashlee's house the next day and went to Chuck E. Cheese's yesterday since it was my niece, Makenna's, birthday. The kids had a blast hanging out with their cousins. And we all wish Michelle's family would move here instead of Texas :)

Kenna, Jack, Alli. These 3 are all the same age. They'll all go to kindergarten in the fall. I always think Jack is lucky to have so many cousins close to his age. Between both sides of the family he has 5 cousins that are within a year of him.

Jordan, Samantha, Makenna, Mackenzie, Jackson, Allison, Kimnerlynn, Coleman, Natalie
Since Coleman was born since the last cousin picture we took a few weeks ago, we had to take another one.

Funny Faces

Another cute one of all the kids.

Me, Michelle, and Ashlee

All the kids (except Coleman) at Chuck E. Cheese ready to sing happy birthday to Kenna.

Coleman stayed in the stroller and slept through his first trip to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Haircuts

Doug and I gave Jack and Jordan haircuts this week. Jordan's was getting really long and crazy. And it's not as curly as it used to be. Some days it was really cute and other days it was just crazy. So we decided to just cut it. And sine we were doing his we did Jack's too even though his wasn't that long.
Jackson before

Since you can't really see his hair that well in the first picture this is another one.

Jordan's before picture.

Jack's after picture. I accidentally cut it shorter than I had planned on cutting it, but I like how it turned out.

Jackson checking out his new haircut. He really doesn't like getting his haircut. He said the best part about the whole thing is that he gets to choose what he watches on tv.

Jordan's after picture. He had a smiling picture, but I wanted to use this one because this is how he looked during most of the hair cut. Doug cut his hair using scissors. It was his first time using scissors and I think he did a good job.

First Bath

Coleman had his first bath last week. He didn't really like it very much. I don't know if he was just cold or if it was because he was hungry or if just doesn't like baths. Jackson helped me give him the bath. He tried to keep him warm by splashing water on Coleman's belly. Coleman was happy once he got out and I wrapped him up in the towel. I realized I need to make him his own hooded towel. Although I don't know if my sewing machine could handle sewing that thick of material. But I'll have to figure something out.

Have you noticed Coleman looks like an old man sometimes? I think he does in this picture. :)

My cute helper.

The Boys

I wanted to take a picture of Coleman in the same outfit and bouncy chair as I did with both his brothers. I wanted to compare them and see if they looked alike and I've decided that none of them look alike to me.

One Week

Coleman is a week old now. Here's what he's been up to:

Sleeping

Sleeping

Awake for a very small portion of the day.

Sleeping

This is really how Coleman and I spend most of our days. Cuddly newborns are fun.

We went to the doctor yesterday. Coleman now weighs 6lb 6oz. So he's a little above his birth weight. He measured in at 19 1/2 in tall. But it seems that 1.5 inches is a lot to grow in a week. He was in about the 20th percentile for both those. And his head was only a little above the 25th percentile.

Our first family picture as a family of 6. I was so amazed that all the kids (that can smile) were smiling and Coleman even has his eyes open. It may be the best family picture we've ever taken since having at least kids.

Jordan took this picture. My mom has brought us dinner several times this week.

Can you tell he sleeps a lot?

Touchdown!

First Day of Summer

We actually had a really nice and warm first day of summer. (Although it's back to cold and cloudy and rainy... hopefully warm weather will come and stay soon.) Doug took the kids to a sprinkler park to play. They all had a lot of fun.

Kenzie was so excited to find the Wheat Thins.

The boys were excited for the first day of summer. A few weeks ago they made chains to count down the days until summer. So on Tuesday when they came in my room in the morning they said it was summer and asked if they could wear their summer clothes, which they have been wearing for awhile now anyways.

It was Kenzie's first time to actually be able to play at the sprinkler park since she couldn't walk last year. She looks like she had fun.

After they came home they had popsicles in the back yard.

I asked Kenzie to look at me and smile and this is the face she made.
