Soccer

Jordan had a soccer game Monday! Kentwood won. Jordan played goalie and then midfield. He was so close to scoring a goal, but it went over the goal instead of inside it.

Pictures

The young women colored crowns during their lesson.

Coleman loves ping pong!

Coleman grew taller than grandma while she was in Arizona!

Hanging out before bedtime. Kenzie told us to close our eyes and then took this picture.

Doug bought a topspin trainer to help his tennis game!

I've been volunteering the childcare area of Vine Maple Place every week. It's a place that helps single parents that are homeless or almost homeless.

Doug went to a fancy dinner and magic show at Magic Castle when he was in LA for work. They have a strict dress code so he had to buy a new suit for it.

He looks good in it! :)

Warriors Vs Trailblazers

Doug and I went to Portland last weekend to watch the Warriors play the Trailblazers! It was so much fun!
Our seats were so close!

Our first glimpse of Steph Curry! It was so much fun to watch him play!

Something Doug and I noticed was that the arena was much louder than it appears on tv. They played music often, but we never hear that on the tv. We only hear the fans.

We won free Jamba coupons! A fan had to try to make 3 free throws in 45 seconds during one of the quarter breaks. It took awhile, but he made all three so the whole stadium got coupons! We got some smoothies after we got home and dropped Kenzie off to dog sit with a friend. A lady came in while we were ordering and saw our coupons and said she had one too and that she was at the game too!

March Madness Victory Dinner

Coleman won our family March Madness bracket so he got to choose where we went out for dinner. He chose Olive Garden!

We saw a beautiful, vibrant double rainbow on our way home.

Minecraft Movie

We went to see the Minecraft movie the first weekend it was out. We thought it was a fun movie!
Jack, Leilani, Isabelle, and Jake went the night before the rest of us went and Jackson sent us this picture.

Kenzie wasn't so exited that it started so early in the morning (10:00) :)

Doug Turns 42!

Doug turned 42 this year! We had a fun day celebrating him! Jordan had class in the morning, but once he got home, Doug opened his presents!

A tennis ball pressurizer. It's supposed to keep the tennis balls nice and bouncy. (Later in the day he was watching videos to see which tennis products out there are really worth the money and really work, and luckily this one was one of the only ones in the video that the guy said actually worked. I was nervous during the video that he'd say it didn't work :))

His old basketball was lopsided so he requested a new one.

Coleman got him a fun What If book.

New tennis shoes! He says they work great :)

Next we went to Top Golf:

Doug let the kids get some food. Kenzie got some pretzels and Jordan got a honey pepperoni pizza. Coleman shared some pretzels with Kenzie. Doug didn't want to have to worry about taking his teeth out (that's what we call it when he has to take out his Invisalign to eat :)) and he just wanted a smoothie and PB toast at home.

I (surprisingly) won the first game!

Doug won the second game (and I came in last...)

We played the games in the lobby for a bit.

We hung out at home for awhile, then went to Kenzie's tennis match.

Then we went to The Rock for dinner. Doug and Jordan tried a new kind of pizza, and really liked it. They might still go back to Crazy Train next time, but they liked trying something new. We also tried the smore dip they have (along with a cookie dough skillet) and it was super yummy too.

Next we went to the Nike Clearance store (it was Doug's first time, but it's now his favorite store... we already have gone back again:)) Doug got a few pairs of shoes and some socks and then bought shoes for the kids too. They were all pretty cheap! He would have bought be something too, but I just like to wear my same old shoes I've had for years. They're comfortable and slip on so nicely.

Jordan pretending the dessert is all his

Doug didn't want 42 candles, so we got creative

37+5

We Tried to go Sledding

We tried to go sledding when Jackson and Jordan had spring break. When we got to Hyak, the park ranger said that the hill was pretty grassy. Before we paid for a parking pass, she let us go check the hill out and see if we wanted to stay. Jordan, Coleman, and I trekked up the hill, and found it was pretty grassy. There were some sections that weren't as snowy, but Jordan thought it would be too bumpy because the snow was pretty thin there. After reporting back to the other kids, we decided to go home. We at least got in a couple hours of listening to our Percy Jackson audiobook :)

And we stopped at McDonald's on the way back. It was fun to have Jackson with us!

Kenzie's Half Birthday

Kenzie turned 15 1/2 in March! I offered to make her whatever dessert she wanted, and she chose Muddy Buddies. Since that's Doug's specialty, he made her some. It was a delicious batch!
