New Year's Eve

We went to my parents' house for New Year's Eve. The Kenyons and Crabtrees were there too. It was fun day/night filled with games, football, and America's Got Talents (for the kids.)
One of the few games we can convince my mom and Richard to play is Code Names.

Waiting for midnight

Jordan banged pan lids together outside at midnight. (We wouldn't let him do it inside. Way too loud!)

We didn't want to drive home so late, so we decided to sleep over. The Crabtrees, Jack, and Kenna slept at the Crabtrees' house. Cam didn't last for the sleep over. As soon as Ashlee left the room, Cam grabbed her stuff her stuff and decided she wanted to go home.

Puzzles and Roller Skating

Ash, my mom, and I started this puzzle the day after Christmas and we all finished it the next day. It was a challenging puzzle!

That afternoon we took the kids skating.

Coleman hated it at first. I told he had to go around at least 7 times before he could be done (I let him have breaks in between.)

Michelle, Nati, Grandma watching the races.

From the races on, Coleman was all smiles.

Once he had a better attitude, his skating improved exponentially. By the end he was skating without holding on to the wall or my hand.

All of us!

Hogwarts Castle and New Phones

The day after Christmas, Jordan  built his Hogwarts castle.
It looks really cool, but was way smaller than I expected it to be.

That afternoon Doug and I got new phones because we switched phone plans. We'll now pay only $12 per gigabyte that we use each month. Even with the price of our new phones each month, we will be paying less than we were paying before. And now Doug can use his phone for work stuff and will be able to get reimbursed for it. His old phone (the only smart phone he has had (almost 8 years!)) was too old to be able to get the apps he needs for work. I got an iphone 8 and it's smaller (it fits pretty easily in my pocket, as long as it doesn't have a case) and has a much better camera so I'm happy.

Christmas!

The kids were all up at 7 on Christmas Eve. I was hoping they would sleep in a little longer since Coleman (and Kenzie) weren't feeling that great. But the boys all woke up on their own, and their loudness woke up Mackenzie. After some Christmas videos and scripture reading we headed down to the basement to open presents!
Jackson's presents.

Mackenzie's presents.

Jordan's presents.

Coleman's presents.

Doug's presents.

My presents.

Coleman gave Jackson a tackle hug.

Jackson's new clothes were in a fishy box. He said he didn't think it was fishies :)

Kenzie got a couple more Calico Critter houses.

Jordan had a Harry Potter Christmas.

Mackenzie giving Jackson a tackle hug.

Coleman was so excited for his Pokemon cards. That's what he wanted most for Christmas (other than a Nintendo Switch, computer, and I Pad.:))

Doug was so excited for this Arms shirt.

Jordan putting a skeleton together.

Kenzie eating some candy.

Jackson ate some too.

Another Arms shirt! He also got some shoes, Taco Time gift cards, and what he wanted most: gift cards to buy Switch games so he could Super Smash Brothers.

I forgot to take picture of my presents. I got some clothes, kitchen stuff, and the big present I got was 2 seats for bleachers that will get lots of use during basketball season!

Kenzie got necklaces, rings, and earrings.

All of us in our matching jammies.

My favorites!

Kenzie opened our present from Grandma Dance.

It was a super soft blanket. We love it!

Kenzie with her new baby. She really wanted a baby that acts real, and this one does.

Jordan was excited to wear his skinny jeans and Harry Potter clothes.

Coleman sorted his coins. We got Jackson some rolls too, so he rolled his coins as well too.

Kenzie did some of her art projects.

Jackson played his new Pokemon DS game.

Coleman played his new Wii game, Mario Party.

Cute Woody.

Kenzie loves all her Calico Critters!

My parents came over and we did Jordan's new puzzle. It was a fun one!

My dad mostly played games with Coleman, but I didn't get a picture of that, so here's the proof he came too :)

We went to my parents' house later in the afternoon. The boys played games.

And my mom and I did a puzzle. We stayed late so we could finish it :)

It was such a great Christmas!
