Recital Day!

We had a very busy day on Saturday. We had two dance recitals and a piano recital (actually we kind of had two of those too.)

The Dance Room decided to split their Winter Recital in 2 parts with the older kids and boys performing in both and the younger kids performing in only one. So Jordan performed in both, but Kenzie only performed in the evening one.

We arrived at Jordan's around 11:45 so he could rehearse before and the show started at 1.

They did a great job!

Jordan was the last boy on stage. He was pretty nervous about that.

Kenzie came with me for the first performance so she could watch all the dances. We left at intermission since Jordan had already danced and we need to get home for the piano recital.

Jackson and Jordan play a Deck the Halls duet.

Coleman played Nuttin' for Christmas.

Jordan played Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer

After they all performed in the normal area of the retirement center, a few students went up the memory loss center to play there.
Kenzie and her friend Matilda played Santa Clause is Coming to Town.

Jackson's solo song was Jingle Bell Swing. He blew everyone away during both his performances of it.

Kenzie's solo song was You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch.
It's always fun to go up to the memory loss center. The audience sometimes sings and is much more interactive. One lady this time especially loved it all and sang  along when she knew the words and talked the kids before they played sometimes.

After a quick 15 minutes dinner of Little Caesar's Pizza, Kenzie, Jordan, and I headed back to Green River Community College for the final recital.
Kenzie loves performing. This is the big reason she does dance, not because she just really loves dancing.

This is her jazz dance.

She said it was her favorite dance.

She was especially happy she was able to floss in it :)

This was her ballet dance.

Final pose.

The kids did great in all their performances and we are excited for a couple weeks off of all our fun activities :)
