1st Day of Nursery

Coleman had his first day of nursery today! I thought he would cry, but Doug thought he would do great. Doug was right. He did great. He didn't cry when we left him. We didn't even try to sneak out. I said bye to him and gave him a kiss. And then we left. When I picked him up he was perfectly happy in there playing with the bubbles and was a little sad I was taking him away. Kenzie and Coleman are only combined in nursery for the last half hour so she wasn't even there when we left, which is good since she goes to Sunbeams in 2 weeks. My kids are growing up :)

Before nursery:

After nursery with his Christmas tree picture he made:

Christmas Activities

Here's some of the fun things we've been doing...

Making ornaments...

Making donut snowmen.

Watching Christmas movies while eating fishies and white chocolate chips...

Painting with snow...

Gluing marshmallows on the outline of a snowman...

Going on a ride on the minivan express...
There were getting into bed and then found a ticket on their pillow telling them to get in the car. Jackson was especially excited to do it (although he did think we were really going on the Polar Express). They ate some treats in the car while we drove around looking at Christmas lights.

I love Christmas time!

Preschool Christmas Party

Jordan had a great Christmas party. All of us were there for it, ever Doug. Jackson had an Oceanography party at school the same day, and I helped at it, so Doug worked from home to watch the little kids. Jackson's party was fun, but I don't have any pictures because I forgot the camera. He chose to come to Jordan's party instead of staying and watching Finding Nemo at school. Doug still came with the little ones because Jordan really wanted him there. He was so excited to have us all there with him :)
They decorate Christmas trees.

Made candy cane ornaments.

played bingo.

Jordan's class only had 4 kids there today. Aren't they cute in their Santa classes.

And of course they ate yummy food.

Coleman loved that part!

18 months old!

Coleman turned 18 months old last Monday! This what he's like...
About 22 lbs and maybe 29 inches (I could be wrong though...) so he's a little small, but growing great!
Has started to run.
Doesn't talk much. He tries to repeat anything we ask him to. He says binkie, sock, bubble, waffle, mama, Jack, dada, bath
He doesn't really do animal sounds. He'll repeat them, but doesn't usually remember them. He gets dog right occasionally.
He knows where noses are. He has a hard time finding his sometimes though. He also knows where is belly button is, but sometimes has a hard time finding the exact spot where it is.
He loves bubbles.
He loves baths. He gets so excited whenever he hears the water running in he bathroom. And he gets sad whenever we're just cleaning the tub.
Loves balls, cars, shape toys.
Likes hitting balls of the baseball tee.
Likes trying to golf.
Likes sleeping with 2 binkies.
Loves ride on toys, but has a hard time making them go.
Is finally getting the hang of feeding himself (or maybe we're finally letting him try...)
Loves the basement.
Loves throwing things.
Cries kind of a lot these days.
Screams kind of a lot these days.
Still eats oatmeal everyday.
Loves eating bites of my waffle.
Loves being involved in everything.
Laughs a lot.
Likes treats.
Loves being thrown up in the air by Doug. and grunts and points up to let Doug knows he wants to do it.
Puts his hands up when he wants up. He repeats up when I ask him to.
Grunts to let us  know what he wants.
Is still super cute.

Decorating the Tree

We decorated our tree a couple weeks ago. We had it for about a week before we decorated it because I had to get more lights. It seems I always need more lights. :) Doug used more outside than before since we have a bigger front yard and house to decorate.

Kenzie wasn't too into it.

Once we showed her how to she hung a few up.

Then she took some snowmen away to play with.

We were going to have Kenzie put the star on.

But then she decided she didn't want to. I think she didn't want to be help up high.

So then we were going to let Jordan. But then the star wouldn't fit because of things poking out at the top of the tree. And our star is a little broken. The tree still looks great though! :)

Day in Seattle

We spend a Saturday in Seattle a few weekends ago.  We went to the Science Center, the giant ball that sprays water, Winterfest, and then back to the Science Center before going out for dinner. It was busy, fun day!
Jordan said this toilet was the coolest thing.

We took the kids to see their first 3D movie (and I think it was Kenzie and Colie's first movie in a theater too.) The boys loved it. Coleman did really good. Kenzie didn't like it though. She was scared from the beginning, when the theater went dark and a voice was talking about how cool 3D movies are and we heard bats flying (I didn't see any so I'm guessing she didn't either). The movie was just about butterflies, so it wasn't really anything scary. But she was scared whenever there was a loud noise (like an airplane flying) and kept crying. I eventually pulled her on my lap and put Coleman in her seat (all while Doug just enjoyed the movie between the big boys eating popcorn :) not sure why I didn't have him sit with one of the babies:)). Then she was happy. Coleman was a little sad at first, but then he did fine on the seat. He was getting a little bored at the end, but he was quiet. And Kenzie was too.

We found a giant table with 4 chairs.  We hadn't seen this before. It makes adults look they are 3ft tall. Look how tiny Doug looks...

Kenzie doesn't look smaller to me though.

There's a train set and Christmas town set up in a mall for Winterfest. The kids were all able to control the train.

We also watched a Little Gym performance at the mall.

And saw an Ice Sculpture.  We also watch people ice skate.
