Mt Rainier

We went to Mt Rainier to hike to Myrtle Falls. That hike was only about half a mile so we also went on some more trails around the visitor center. It was so pretty out there!

We found a little waterfall!

Jackson was thirsty so he drank some.

The others had to follow his example.

Coleman thought it tasted gross.

I was glad none of them got sick from it :)

We stopped at a hamburger place on the way home and Kenzie found a cat to pet. Since Snicker's died she's been really wanting a cat. Doug is allergic, though, so he says no.

Doug Quit Netflix

Doug quit Netflix again! His last day was August 8. Although he's barely worked since the family reunion, really only the week before his last day. He's excited to work on a project with his friend Joe and maybe something with Konrad. And he's excited to have more time to spend with us and just doing things he enjoys.

 

Target

Jackson got a job at Target! He unloads the truck and puts things on the shelves. His hours are terrible: 4am-11am. He typically works 3-4 days a week. Yesterday, he worked from 2am-2:30pm! They asked him to come in early and stay late because they were behind by a truck. But they got all caught up and he earned a lot of money!

Ichiro

My mom and I went to Ichiro's number retiring ceremony! It was fun to celebrate him and see some of our old Mariners!

Triathlon

Kenzie and Morgan did a kids' triathlon in Monroe. Kenzie didn't love it and was happy when it was over. We're proud of her for doing something hard though!

The first even was swimming 100 yards.

Then she biked 3 miles.

And ran 1 mile. She walked some of the run, but when she got the end her and this random boy started racing. She beat him, so she ended on a high note:)

Morgan had a lot of fans!

We got smoothies (and and acai bowl for Doug) after.
