The boys had their last ym basketball game on Tuesday. They played well, but still didn't win. It was Jackson's last young men game!

Volleyball
Jackson and Jordan started volleyball this week. They had a jamboree and won all three games pretty easily. It's an all boy league this season. It was fun watching them play!
Jordan, Koper, Jackson, Logan, Sachmn (who was on their basketball team!)
There's only 5 on the team and they play 4 on the court at a time.
Coleman's Braces!
On April 15 Coleman got braces on! He only got them on top because the poor kid has to have a herbst like Kenzie. The orthodontist said he has a combination of this siblings teeth. An overbite like Kenzie, some teeth that are too small so they'll have put stuff on them to make them bigger, and he has 4 wisdom teeth like Jackson. Jordan also has 4, but the dentist made it sound like he might not need them removed because they're growing in straight and there's enough room for them. Kenzie only has 2.
He looks so different! Even a few days later and I'm not quite used to it. He'll get the herbst in in a few weeks.
Hair Cuts
Last Saturday, Doug, Jordan, and Coleman all went to get their hair cut! It was Coleman's first time having someone else cut his hair.
Before
After! They all look great!
Texas - Days 3-6
The rest of our time in Texas was spent having fun with the Kenyons and Crabtrees (until they left on Wednesday.)
On Tuesday the girls (except Cam) went the mall. The mom's walked while the girls shopped. Then we went to Chuy's for lunch and then we went on a troll hunt.
We found the troll! There are several of these in Washington too. Maybe I'll convince my family to go find them too :)
There was tree house Coleman, Cam, and Kenzie played in.
We played at the park for a bit.
On Wednesday the Crabtrees left in the morning. The rest of us just hung out most of the day. Doug had some work to do, our kids did some school work and played video games, Nati and Kenna had to go to school (Kenna came home pretty early though). We went to Torchy's for lunch. Shari and Richard's brother and his wife and son came over for awhile. Chelle and I did a puzzle with Shari and Lisa while watching Wonka. After dinner we went bowling.
We played girls vs. boys. The girls won the first game. We didn't have enough time to finish the first game, but it seemed the boys would have won if we'd have enough time. But you never know, we might have got a lot of strikes the second half of the game:)
The boys team.
A pretty sunset on the drive home.
On Thursday we mostly hung out at home. The boys (except Coleman) went to barbecue for lunch. Kenna and Nati had to go to school again (Kenna home early again though). Chelle and I talked and watched the new episode of When Calls the Heart. I watched that show with her for the first time when we went to Texas many years ago. After dinner that night we went to a Round Rock Express baseball game. It was a fun day!
The adults sat in normal chairs.
And the kids sat in the grass. we joined them for the last inning.
Kenzie and Nati tried to get on the big screen. They weren't successful. Chelle and I had made it on earlier in the game though!
On Friday we went P. Terry's for lunch, but other than that we just hung out, packed and cleaned.
The first night, Jordan, Coleman, Kenzie, Nati, and Cam all were sleeping out here. But by the last night only Jordan and Coleman were left.
We got some last minute pictures:
These two are only about 5 months apart in age, but a foot in height (Jordan's hair makes it look even more:))
We had such a fun trip! It was weird only being there for 6 days. Usually we stay for 2-4 weeks. but it was still great being there! Thanks for letting us stay Kenyons!
Texas Day 2 - Eclipse!
Monday, April 8, was solar eclipse day! We were all worried it would be too cloudy to see it. Doug and Konrad were checking sky maps to try to figure out where the best spot would be to go. They thought it looked good at Richard's mom's, Shari's, house. So we all got up and left for her house around 9 and hung out there until the eclipse.
The kids played Apple to Apples.
The women played Quixx and Boggle.
We went outside to see if we could see anything. The sun was hiding behind the clouds at that point.
They kept checking to see if we should go somewhere else. But decided it should be clear enough if just stayed there. We were all happy about that because it was the easiest place to stay.
We went out back to watch!
There were always clouds around, but the sun stayed mostly uncovered.
We watched a video that said if you punch holes in paper you'll be able to see the different shape of the sun through them. We just kept seeing circles.
We watched the moon covering the sun.
We found that if we held the paper a little ways away we could see the crescent shape of the sun.
The kids! Kenna, her boyfriend Ryan (who looks just like Harry Potter; it's amazing), Nati, Kenzie, Coleman, Jordan, Jackson, Cam, Alli
The clouds coming in seemed so thick we were worried they would cover the sun during totality, but thankfully they stayed away and were able to see all of the totality. Once Doug said it was safe to do so, he, Jordan, and Coleman looked at the eclipse with their binoculars.
It was so cool!
We were all so happy that we were able to see it and that Shari let us come stay at her house for a few hours. It took us about twice as long as it should have to get back to the Kenyons' house, just like the last time we went to a solar eclipse, but luckily that only meant an extra 45 minutes instead of an extra 6.5 hours:)
