January Pictures

Back to normal life meant back to horseback riding too. Kenzie hadn't been since she fell off in November because of her being sore and then sick, her instructor having an appointment and being sick, and the Kenyons coming. She was excited to get back up on the horse.

Coleman started basketball! He's really loving it this year and practices dribbling quite often.

Mason and Jackson played some music together.

Jackson, Tucker, Jordan, Mason, Logan, Alex celebrating Mason's birthday.

Coleman was a bit sick and stayed home from church. He and Doug played Klask.

Doug can touch his toes now!

Working on touching toes while standing

Colie made me some beautiful art during math.

Kenzie on her "perfect day" (She didn't have school work or any plans until yw that night, so she just mostly did what she wanted all day :))

Ready for a dance!

We celebrated Ashlee's birthday (also, Ollie got a hair cute and looks like a whole new dog!)

Kenzie made a beautiful (and yummy!) cake!

We made pretzels for young womens. The missionaries joined us too!

Kenzie and I taught preschool while Ashlee and Konrad were in Hawaii. It was fun! The kids really loved Kenzie and were always saying "Kenzie sit here!"

Defy added something new to their obstacle course.

We got a new shelf for under our tv! We love it! I wanted a place for all the laptops so we could get rid of the long black desk since the kids mostly used it for putting stuff on.

We moved this desk over to where the black desk was for Jordan to use, and everyone else just keeps their laptops on the shelf under the tv and puts their other stuff in one of the drawers. It looks so much cleaner!

Coleman is a deacon now and so he wears a tie every week when he passes the sacrament. Doug helps him tie it each week.

Most of the priests in our ward!

I made Doug a beautiful picture.

We got some guest passes to Defy so we got Thane in for free. He brought McClain so we got her in for free too. Holly was there that day too and Kenzie was happy to have a couple girls to play with this time.

Coleman and Jordan got haircuts!

Kenzie, Jenna, Taryn, Lorelei, and Veyda at the stake dance on Saturday. Kenzie had a boy ask for her number for the first time!

We volunteered at Food Lifeline today and brought Logan with us!

There was light dusting of snow.

UW Gymnastics Meet

Kenzie's gymnastics team wanted to go to a UW gymnastics meet. So Doug, Cam, Colie, Kenzie, and I went. Kenzie sat with her team, and the rest of us sat a few rows above them. It was really fun to watch!

Jordan Chiles competed in the last summer Olympics and was on UCLA's team.

She was amazing!

More Gym Fun

We went to the gym again to play pickleball. This time just our family. We got Jackson a pickleball net for Christmas, and we're all enjoying it.

Doug teaching Kenzie how to shoot.

Rubik's Cube Competition

Jordan competed in another Rubik's Cube competition at the beginning of January. He had improved his times since the last one and had a great time! Doug took him to this one since I stayed home to take Kenzie to her soccer game and then went to Coleman's basketball jamboree. (Jackson was also working that day, but at the same place as Coleman's jamboree and pictures. So Coleman had to go an hour early to his stuff because that's when Jack could drive him. It was a busy morning!)

He got 45th with an average of 16.22 seconds on the 3x3.

Ward Temple Trip

We had a ward youth baptism trip the second week of January. We had 20 youth attend, only 5 of which we young women (and one was a friend of one of the young men). It was Coleman's first time!

Kenzie's Christmas Room

Kenzie wasn't ready for Christmas to be over so she kept Christmas alive in her room.
She put up our fake Christmas tree.

and decorated it.

And kept up her own decorations.
