This year we decided to walk to East Hill Nursery to get our tree. We are much busier this year, and our favorite tree farm sold out early last year and are only open in the afternoons (our busiest time.) So we decided to try the easiest and closest option. Jordan was the only one disappointed about not cutting down a tree (I was a little, because I do love traditions:)).
We decided to go with a 5-6ft tree instead of a 6-8ft one to save $20.
Carrying it home.
Coleman wouldn't help (and I was the photographer) so these four carried it most of the way.
Then Kenzie decided she was done carrying it too.
We decorated the fake tree downstairs that same day, but had to wait until I put lights on the other one before we could decorate it.
Jordan got to put the star on the tree this year.
I wanted them to gather around the tree for a picture with all the kids. Coleman wanted to use the chair, but Jordan tried to take it away... (I ended up vetoing the chair anyways because I didn't want it blocking the tree.)
Jordan was trying to make it look like he was holding the star.
