Here's some pictures of Kenzie's last few games. I guess I didn't take any of Jackson's. I think I forgot the camera for his last game. They both loved playing and were so sad it ended. Jack ended up with 3 goals for the season, and Kenzie had 7. They both improved a lot and it was fun to watch them play!
Coleman trying to be sad since he fell in the mud running back to the game from a bathroom break. He wasn't as upset as I thought he would be.
His pants were pretty muddy on one leg, but that was all.
It started getting wetter so we had to bring chairs instead of just a blanket. I thought the blanket was waterproof, but it wasn't.
We all thought Coleman was cute in his hat :)
Kenzie's team (full of kindergartners) played a team with 1st and 2nd graders on it. You can see how much bigger they were in the picture. Most of the kids were that size and good control. I'm pretty sure they were the only team with kids that old. Kenzie was pretty discouraged the whole game. She hates losing, and although they lost other games, I think before she felt like they had a chance. But this week the ball was almost always on the side of the field they were defending.
Coleman wanted to play around the tree but there were other kids always there. He saw it was open and rushed over to play alone while he could :)
Kenzie wore a skort that day. Doug thought it made it harder for her to run, but she said it didn't.
On Kenzie's last game it poured. Everyone was soaked and the players were slipping a lot. Kenzie had an awesome game though and score 5 goals! It was the same team she has played the first week and she was nervous about playing them again because they had a little boy who scored a lot of goals. But this time her team won 6-5.
So excited after her goal.
A video of one of Kenzie's goals.
For Kenzie's last goal she kicked it across the field, around several players, and then scored. It was pretty awesome :)
Jack's last game was a week after Kenzie's last game because it was raining so hard they cancelled his game. When they played their make up game, Jackson had to be on the other team for the first few minutes because they didn't have enough players. Jack said it was weird playing against his own team :) Another kid from the other team showed up so Jackson was able to come play for his team again and he scored a goal! He had great footwork on his goal. He had to get around the opposing player and fake him out. It looked really good.
