This morning my parents, Michelle, Richard, Ashlee, Jack, Kenna, Alli, Kimber, Sam, and Alli went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. It was Jack and Kenna's first time being able to go inside the temple.
Afterwards we stopped by the Malasadas food truck to get malasadas, which are like donuts. Jackson was so done being in long sleeves and pants.
The rest of us thought the malasadas were worth it:)
We ate an early lunch at home and then went to Sharks Cove to snorkel. The snorkelers saw lots of fish, some turtles, and I think an eel.
The sand was so hot, I was surprised that Coleman played in it.
These two didn't stay in the water too long. Nati got hurt on the rocks pretty quick after she got in and didn't want to go in anymore. Kenzie swam around a little longer, but soon joined Nati for some reading in the shade.
Next we went to Matsumodos for some more shave ice. Jackson has decided he doesn't really like shave ice that much and instead chose to get hi-chews instead. He was happy with his choice and especially loved the kiwi flavored ones.
Everyone enjoying their treats.
Jordan ate all of his (the green one) and then ate some of mine too.
Coleman has decided he likes shave ice. He chose to get Munchies instead, but ate some of Nati's pina colada.
On our walk back to the car, the kids wanted take some pictures here. This is Kenzie and Nati.
Coleman and Camryn
Me and Jordan
And then Camryn wanted to be a turtle. So Coleman became a seal so she wouldn't be alone.
Finally, we went to Sunset Beach.
Doug found a dead fish floating around. He picked it up and showed it around, letting the kids feel it. I thought it was so gross.
Coleman is still convinced that the fish wasn't real. The eyes looked really fake, but Doug kept showing him the insides to prove it was a real fish. Coleman doesn't agree. He tried to pull the eyes off to show that the fish wasn't real.
Kenna and Jack (and eventually Doug and Jordan) found some rocks in the ocean and brought them out. Konrad built a cairn out of them.
Coleman and Camryn wanted to big a deep hole. Doug helped them.
Konrad built another cairn. He tried to just make one big one, but there were too many rocks.
Jordan is standing on Grandpa's shoulders.
Doug and Camryn buried Coleman in the hole.
Jordan cut his foot at Shark's Cove, and so he wanted his feet to be clean when he was done swimming. He tried hopping uphill in the sand, but wasn't successful. Doug was a kind father and carried him to the towels.
The days are so full of fun they are just flying by! I wish they could just last forever :)
