A week and a half ago we had a warm, sunny week. Since we probably don't have many of those days left we took advantage of the sunshine and went outside. One of the days we hiked Denny Creek. It is one of my favorite hikes. It's just long enough and challenging enough to be enjoyable without being too tough. It's beautiful and we're able to stop and play for a couple hours before heading back.
We hiked up to the waterfall, which we've never done before.
Jordan, Coleman, Jackson, Kenzie, Phoenix
The kids had to climb the rock wall to get on top of the waterfall.
Coleman slipped in the water.
I didn't think the kids would want to slide down the rocks so I didn't have them wear their swim suits. Kenzie didn't care and slid down over and over again.
The water was freezing, but it must have been fun enough that Kenzie didn't care.
Kenzie and Phoenix
Coleman really wished he had worn his swim suit, but I convinced him that his shorts were just like his swim suits.
Jordan gave it a try too.
Jackson was the only one of my kids that didn't do it.
It was such a perfect day!
