Jordan had seminary graduation on Sunday. He didn't actually graduate, but he got 3.5 credits out of 4, so not too bad :) He played a musical number at the graduation and it sounded wonderful!

Damon Visits!
Damon and his uncle Kevin came to visit last weekend. They got her Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday morning. We hadn't seen Damon in 7-8 years so it was fun to see him again and catch up! They had planned to go to Seattle with Kevin's sister, but ended up changing plans and went to the Museum of Flight. Then they came back in the early afternoon and went golfing with Jordan and Doug. Then we just hung out the rest of the night.
Gardening
One of the things I've been most excited about with this house is the garden! I've spent time learning what plants I have (thanks Google Gemini:)). I've weeded out the ones I don't want and have planted seeds of what we want to grow.
The first pictures are of the plants before I did any weeding.
These I kept. They've become pretty flowers!
Strawberries
Mushrooms in the herb garden
A pretty daffodil that will be transplanted once the leaves turn yellow (Gemini recommended that because it's in the herb garden :))
Weeds mixed in with the mint
Weeded and planted with peppers, cilantro, and cucumber seeds
There is so much mint! I made some mint limeade with some that was really yummy!
Weeded!
Doug and I spent an afternoon saving the blueberry bush from the blackberry bushes and wild roses.
Now they're ready to go!
These are the weeds (including blackberry bushes) we cut out!
Cucumber plant growing!
I bought a lemon tree and a rolling planter!
Pretty flowers from the front yard.
The front yard has had so many pretty flowers growing
I planted a raspberry plant! Doug drilled holes in the bottom of the planter before I filled it with new dirt so it can drain better.
Doug and Coleman took off the fence from around the area next to the garden so we we can make that side the new garden. We're going to have a deck built where the current garden is.
I thought this plant looked cool, so I bought it.
Coleman helping to find the pipes buried in the dirt.
Kenzie and Jordan helped put bark in the new garden area.
Doug dug trenches to find the pipes so he can move them all out of the garden area.
This week his cousin Cody, who is going to be building our deck, is bringing the wood he'll be using and will move all the planters over to that side. Hopefully they'll get enough sun over there! I'm hoping to also plant fruit trees, kiwi vines, and grape vines! It's fun to grow food!
Orchestra
Jordan had 2 last orchestra concerts. He played a duet in the first one. The second one was the senior recital so he played a solo and then with the freshman orchestra and the regular orchestra. He played so well! It was fun watching him try something new this year.
Barn to Fun House
Doug and our contractor Scott (with a little help from the rest of us) have been transforming our barn into a game room since March. They still aren't finished, but it's coming along great!
They cut a walkway between the two sections
Coleman helping Doug
We showed Cam the barn and Doug put the kids to work for a bit :)
Jordan putting up insulation
Scott had the great idea to put french doors in the openings where the sliding doors are. They would help insulate the room, but with keeping the sliding doors too, it would preserve the barn look.
They put a new door here too.
Doug put a minisplit in to heat and cool the barn
The kids dug a hole so Doug and my dad could work on the plumbing. It took a long time until Kenzie got us a pick axe from Walmart.
Coleman has done a lot of sanding!
We built the sink!
My dad came to help on the plumbing
Still digging the trench!
We put up the ceiling. Doug and Scott did a lot of it, but the kids and I helped with a few sections.
Filling in the trench.
The walls and ceiling fully insulated!
Doug got a water fountain from Buywander. He and my dad got the plumbing all hooked up and installed the fountain. Doug later put a filter in it so the water would taste good and not metallic.
The walls going up!
The french doors!
Doug primed and painted the bathroom. He and Scott installed the floor.
Doug and Scott filled in the triangular wall of the loft.
Doug hooked up the sink
Getting ready to paint all the walls!
Kenzie and Coleman primed this outside wall.
Coleman helping prime the inside wall.
The Crabtrees and my mom came over to paint the last day. Konrad, Kenzie, and Cam finishing up the loft. Kenzie and Cam worked most of the time.
Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa didn't know we were painting so he arrived when we were almost done.
Doug and Ashlee working in the loft
We did a great job!
Doug working on the last part of the ceiling.
Coleman has had the most flexible schedule so he has been helping a lot!
Scott and Doug starting putting up the board and batten wall and framed the window and doors.
We painted all the wood for the board and batten
Colemand and I always look like this when we finish painting. Doug, Jordan, and Kenzie always look fairly clean.
