Gardening

One of the things I've been most excited about with this house is the garden! I've spent time learning what plants I have (thanks Google Gemini:)). I've weeded out the ones I don't want and have planted seeds of what we want to grow.

The first pictures are of the plants before I did any weeding.
These I kept. They've become pretty flowers!

Strawberries

Mushrooms in the herb garden

A pretty daffodil that will be transplanted once the leaves turn yellow (Gemini recommended that because it's in the herb garden :))

Weeds mixed in with the mint

Weeded and planted with peppers, cilantro, and cucumber seeds

There is so much mint! I made some mint limeade with some that was really yummy!

Weeded!

Doug and I spent an afternoon saving the blueberry bush from the blackberry bushes and wild roses.

Now they're ready to go!

These are the weeds (including blackberry bushes) we cut out!

Cucumber plant growing!

I bought a lemon tree and a rolling planter!

Pretty flowers from the front yard.

The front yard has had so many pretty flowers growing

I planted a raspberry plant! Doug drilled holes in the bottom of the planter before I filled it with new dirt so it can drain better.

Doug and Coleman took off the fence from around the area next to the garden so we we can make that side the new garden. We're going to have a deck built where the current garden is.

I thought this plant looked cool, so I bought it.

Coleman helping to find the pipes buried in the dirt.

Kenzie and Jordan helped put bark in the new garden area.

Doug dug trenches to find the pipes so he can move them all out of the garden area.

This week his cousin Cody, who is going to be building our deck, is bringing the wood he'll be using and will move all the planters over to that side. Hopefully they'll get enough sun over there! I'm hoping to also plant fruit trees, kiwi vines, and grape vines! It's fun to grow food!
