Coleman played soccer for Covington this spring. They opened up the 7th/8th grade division to 9th graders and we were so excited about it! It was so fun watching him play. His team was really good. There were only 2 teams and his team won by 8 or 9 goals the first couple games and then they decided to switch up the teams to make it more even. Everyone had more fun once that happened:) Coleman played on the other team one week for half the game.
He played forward most of the time. He didn't play goalie very much. He said he didn't want to because the other team didn't have many shots on goal. He scored a lot of goals this season!
His friend Ben is in the yellow socks and Coleman is in the blue ones. They were happy to be on the same team.
The last practice was kids vs parents. There were only 4 or 5 adults that played. Doug had terrible knee pain that night so he didn't come play. It was still fun to watch :) Some baby ducks came on the field at one point so the players had to avoid them. And an eagle started circling above us and we were worried that the eagle would snatch up the baby ducks. Luckily he didn't!
