Hawaii Day 23

In the morning Doug and my dad golfed at Kahuku and the rest of us went to Hukilau. It was a perfect day at Hukilau. The weather was great and there were no jelly fish! Doug and my dad met us there about a half hour before we left.

Coleman was grouchy when we got there. He's not sleeping, just hating the sun. He was mad because he didn't put his shoes on when I told him to and then didn't gave enough time.

Kenna and Jack found a tire.

Colie was hiding from the sun and Michelle was asking him questions. He was still grouchy so he was ignoring her. Then she said that she could see his toes. After several minutes he said something like "You saw my toes because you saw Mickey Mouse." He thought she knew they were his toes because of his swim suit :)

Kenzie really wanted to go in the water with someone so Richard offered to go with her.

 He loves pirate booty.

A cute story about Colie is that Colie and I were sitting in the sand and he was burying my leg. He said "Your knee is dissing-appear." :) Right after that Cam was sliding around us. I told her she was doing good at sliding and she said "Thank you Sheppy! (that's how she says my name :))" She's so polite!

After lunch everyone except my parents and Cam went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was really fun and we were happy we went!
We first learned about Oisepa the canoe.

Then we learned how to make coconut oil in Fiji. This guy was really funny.

They brought some chairs out for Kenzie and Colie since the benches were full.

Next we watched the boat parade. All the island had a boat that had dancers on it.

There was music playing before the parade and the kids were dancing. Nati was a great hip shaker. She could be a Tahitian dancer :)

 Next we went to Tonga.

They made some men come up and do some things with them. It was so funny.

They also taught us to dance.

Next we watched a traditional Tahiti wedding.

Colie found the wedding a little boring and slept through it.

Next we went to Fiji and learned more about their music and dancing. This was Jack's favorite show.He loved being able to participate in the music.

The last show we watched was Hawaii.

They took a picture of us when we first got there and gave us leis. The picture turned out really cute, but they wanted $18 for it. So we just took a picture of it :) We all really loved the PCC. We wished we would have had more time to visit the other islands and do the other hands on activities they had.

Doug and I dropped the kids off with my dad and went to the night show together. Ashlee was home during the show too. My mom went took the big Crabtree girls to it. Doug and I had great seats. The 3rd row! We went to Pounders after to get some dessert. Doug really wanted to try Guava Cheesecake and he loved it!
