Today we went to Hukilau in the morning. We didn't want to go anywhere far because some of the roads were closed and some had mud runs going on.
Jackson doesn't like Hukilau anymore. Swimming isn't worth the risk of getting stung by a jelly fish. He gets happier after the other kids get tired of swimming and want to play something else with him. He doesn't even really like to play in the sand.
Nati and Cam. When I went to get my camera Nati had started burying Cam's legs. Cam must have decided she didn't like it.
Doug
Alli, Sam, and Kenna (I think...)
Kenzie trying to get out to her cousins.
Soon after this picture she ran to me saying her back hurt. She wasn't crying or making a big deal out of it so I didn't think it was a jelly fish sting. It was a little red, but looked kind of like a sun burn. I asked her if it felt like electricity, she said yes. :) She wanted to sit with me on the towel and I looked at her back again and saw some welts, which is a sign of jelly fish stings.
She laid on her back and I put some baking soda on it. Luckily my sisters come prepared! Kenzie was so brave! And she was pretty proud of how brave she was.
Jack convinced Doug to play baseball with him.
Grandpa pulled out a kite to fly with the kids. Colie was pretty cute when he realized that Grandpa was making it fly. He said he was going to tell Cam and then ran over and said grandpa was making it fly.
The kite
Kenzie hung out with me on the towel the rest of the time we were there. She made a little house for a mermaid that we have in our bag. She found a little piece of wood that she said was the baby.
That afternoon the women and Alli walked to Temple Beach. About 5 minutes after swimming Alli came out of the water with another jelly fish sting. That's 4 for her now. Poor girl! Ashlee took her home to put some baking soda on it and Alli still came back and swam for awhile. Us moms enjoyed reading.
Ash and Shell. My mom and Alli had left by the time I took this picture.
Cute Kenzie
We went to Haleiwa Joe's for our last date night dinner.
We went with the Kenyons to get some food at Foodland and decided to get ice cream after. Doug's was a little big.
