Texas: Last Week

After Florida we only had a few more days before going home. Michelle and  I kept saying we couldn't believe how fast the month went. We had so much fun together!

We decorated for Christmas:

Doug playing Lincoln Logs.

with Colie :)

Jordie set up the little people nativity.

Kenzie and Nati playing on the bunk bed.

Doug really playing with the Lincoln Logs by himself.

Colie, Jordan, Nati, Kenna, Kenzie, Jackson

Watching Polar Express.

Nati hung up the first ornament.

We went to the dinosaur pit again.
The last few days were really nice and warm.

Kenzie brought a baby in the backpack.

Kenna and Jack had been climbing on the wall, and Shell and I looked over and saw Jack drinking like that.

When we were leaving Colie saw this and wanted me to take a picture of them in it again.

We had a lemonade stand.

Michelle's neighbor brought over a huge bag of beanie babies and we let the kids each pick a few.

Coleman didn't want to stand close to the snowman.

He was always demanding to shut the door. He screamed if anyone else tried to do it.

We also went to the park again.
We brought balls so the kids could play basketball.

Cute Colie shooting the ball.

Kenzie went to preschool with Nati one last time. She loved it so much.

In Austin people decorate trees along the road. We thought it would be fun to do it the kids. We decided to walk to one close to Michelle's house so they would drive by it often.

Before this picture, after we had finished decorating the tree, we told the kids to gather around it so we could take their picture. Kenzie and Nati were both not having fun. They didn't like the long pokey dead grass. Jordan tried to climb on the stool but it fell because the ground was uneven. He grabbed the tree and most of the decorations fell off. So Shell and I quickly redecorated it. Jordan got a few scrapes on him and was pretty sad.

Kenzie and Nati making something.

I love this picture of them.

Jordan checking out what's going on.

I didn't get a picture of this, but after the kids went to bed we watched Downton Abbey almost every night. Michelle made us start watching. I didn't want to because I knew that sad things happened in it, and I don't really like to watch sad shows. But after a few episodes we were hooked and watched all 4 seasons.

This is the car we rented. A Toyota Sienna. It was a really nice car. If we ever get a new minivan I would want of these. It had automatic doors (it took me awhile to stop reaching for the door close button once we got home). And an 8th seat that can fold up and is stored in the side of the trunk. We could set the temperature for the drive, passenger, and backseat. It had pilot seats (I think that's what they're called... or bucket seats...) which I never have wanted but it was nice for the road trip because everyone could see the Kindle to watch the movie instead of having to take turns which ends up with kids fighting. It had a nice organizer between the front seats. It had xm radio. It had sunshades that could be pulled down over the windows. The middle rows windows could be rolled down. I really loved it:) The only downside was that it didn't have built in carseats and when I locked it with the button on the key it didn't make a honking noise :)

We had so much fun with the Kenyons! We hate that they live so far away and are always hoping they move closer to us someday :). Thanks for letting us come stay!
