Christmas!

We had a fantastic Christmas! The kids were so excited and fun all day. Jackson, Jordan, and Mackenzie came in our room at 7 (the earliest we said they could come in) and begged to open presents but I said we couldn't get Colie up until 8. The kids played a little. We read the Christmas story in the Bible again. Then we got Colie up and we opened presents! My parents came over a little later. We skyped with Grandma Dance and Uncle Tyler's family who was visiting her. Then we headed to my parents' house and stayed there the rest of the day. It was such a fun day. I love Christmas!
We saw the coyote/wolf outside again before getting Coleman up. We were pretty excited :)

Coleman was excited to get up.

 Kenzie's presents.

 Jordan's presents.

 Family presents.

 Coleman's presents.

 Jackson's presents.

Coleman came down first, then Kenzie. Colie saw his new ball toy and just started playing with it. He was really excited about it. Kenzie looked around at all the presents and asked which one was hers. I asked her which one she thought was hers and she pointed to the right one (I think all the pink Minnie Mouse stuff gave it away... :)). Then she ran over and just started ripping all the wrapping paper off her presents. She didn't care to look at what she getting that much. She just wanted it all open. I had been videoing from a little before Colie came down, and by the time Kenzie was done opening her presents it had only been about 9 minutes that I had been videoing, which means she opened them in like 7 minutes. Maybe 8.

When Jordan came down he thought Doug's presents were his. I'm not sure why. Maybe because of the giant lego blocks that were near Doug's presents. But he kept sitting by them and trying to open his. We were telling him to look at the stockings and find his name, but he wasn't doing it. He eventually figured out where his presents were and was excited about them :)

Jack found his right away and was happy to see he got the remote control car he asked Santa for.

 So excited!

 Another excited/tired looking child. :)

Jackson was so excited and surprised to see the paddle ball. It was on his list of the top 3 presents he wanted (not including his remote control car that he wanted Santa to bring. :)) When he saw it in his stocking he said "Santa knew!" The other items in his top 3 were funny face snowballs and something else that I can't remember right now...

 Excited about his paddle ball.

This is the kitty Jackson made for Kenzie.

 I love this face!

After Colie had played with his ballapalooza for awhile I suggested that he open his presents and he did it. I don't think he realized there were any other presents for him until I pointed them out. He grabbed one and brought it over to Doug and me and opened it. After he would open one he would say "Colie open another present?" After I'd say yes he'd run and grab one. He loved opening the presents!

Kenzie's present to Jordan. She thought he'd love it because he thinks minions are so funny :)

The first thing Jack asked for for Christmas was these tennis shoes. He wanted them back in October.

Jack said this was the best Christmas ever because he got the best presents :)

Jordan got his gumball machine. He loves it and is chewing gum all the time now. Usually 2-3 pieces.

Kenzie and Jack were so excited for Colie to open his present from Jack. As he was opening it Kenzie kept saying things like "look it's Mickey!" But Colie didn't acknowledge it until he got every piece of wrapping paper off. Then he got a big smile and was excited about it. He was like that with all his presents.

He was so cute looking in his stocking. He was happy to find yogurt melts and squeezies in it. And a few toys.

After the kids were done opening and were playing with their toys, Doug and I started cleaning up the paper and boxes and we found that Jack had 3 presents he hadn't opened and Jordan had a couple and Kenzie had 1, although Jordan opened it because he and Doug didn't realize that it was for Kenzie.

 Doug and his presents.

 Me and my presents.

Doug got some powder to help his basketball shoes not stink so much :)

The kids opened the presents from Grandma Dance.

 They loved the books!

This picture makes me laugh because Doug looks like he's part of the box he's holding. He looks fake to me and the kids look real :) Jackson was so excited to give him a small Foosball table.

I got Doug (and me:)) new pillows! They are really comfy too. Doug also got a new keyboard and computer screen so he can work from home more easily.

I don't have any pictures of my presents... But I got a robot mop and a robot vacuum. I'm so excited to try them out. we have to clean up the floor first... :) I also got some kitchen stuff and Just Dance 2014 and money and clothes and Payday (the game) and candy!

The mess.

Colie didn't notice he got a stroller until I pointed it out to him after the presents had been opened. I think he just thought it was our other stroller that's similar.

He put Mickey in and started pushing him around. It felt like we were at Michelle's house again :)

I love Jack's head poking out at the top of the tower.

My mom played with Colie and his new ball toy. He really loves it!

Jack and Doug put together the Foosball table.

Doug and Jack played Foosball with grandpa and Jordan watching.

This car has been a huge hit. The kids all love it.

Grandma's house:

Alli showing off her new boots.

Jack was so excited to get a new laptop. He said grandma gives the best presents :)

Sam was so happy to get a bow and arrow.

Camryn opening presents.

Ash with her new ear warmer headband curling Kimber's hair. I saw my sister-in-law Shawnee use these curlers in her daughter Daisy's hair last March and thought Ashlee might like them since her kids always have cute hair :)

My dad is always a great guesser at presents. Even when I think I'll stump him he usually guesses right. He's pretty talented :)

I had a couple extra Mariners shirts that I didn't use in a Mariner shirt quilt I'm making and Jordan suggested I make a pillow out of them. It was happy with how it turned out.

We also got my mom some plates that the kids decorated. I didn't think they'd come in time because we had to send the kids' drawings in and then the company had to make the plates out of them and send them back. But they came a few days before Christmas.

We facetimed the Kenyons. Alli and Kenna talked for awhile.

Jordan loves his contraptions kit. He played it with for a long time with Doug. He doesn't think he can play it by himself though.

Colie was napping when the other kids opened their presents and was happy to find their were presents for him to open when he woke up.

He loved this toy and played with it for hours. After dinner we played games and he just played with it by himself most of the time. He might have played with other people a little bit.

Growing up my dad always made pancakes for Christmas breakfast. This year he made them for dinner. They were yummy!

Colie got this new balance bike too. He was kind of unsure of it at first, but has gotten the hang of it.

Merry Christmas!
