We went to get our Christmas tree at Coate's tree farm again this year. Since Doug had taken off 2 weeks on our Texas trip he doesn't have any more vacation days so we had to go on a Saturday. It wasn't as nice because it was more crowded. There's usually only a few other families there when we go in the middle of the week. It was also freezing cold. We found our tree quick though so we weren't in the cold too long :)
It was a beautiful sunny day. Too bright for picture taking :)
Unless they're looking away from the sun...
Colie's bigger than the tree!
Cutting down the tree.
Jordan's turn with the saw.
Jack's turn.
The boys getting read to catch it. (I helped too... I didn't want it to smash them :))
Since it was crowded we didn't get a thing we could pull the tree on. The boys tried to help Doug carry it, but it didn't work very well so Doug and I did it.
Kenzie was excited to play in the house. I think she remembered it from last year.
We had stopped at the store to buy some warm clothes. The boys couldn't find any gloves that fit at home so we bought them some new ones. And Jack got an Angry Birds hat that he wore most of the time for the next few days :)
Doug asked the boys to hold the tree for him and they weren't very happy about it.
31 degrees outside. Brrrr
