Christmas Lights

Doug spent all day Friday putting up permanent Christmas lights outside. He was out there from 9:30am to about 10:30pm, only coming inside for dinner for about 20 minutes. He rented a boom lift from Home Depot. He had gone back and forth on whether or not to rent one or just use a ladder, but in the end decided it would be much safer to just use the boom lift. I'm glad he chose this option! He had spent the last few weeks getting the lights ready by painting them. He was doing it with a paint brush, but that wasn't working very well and the paint wasn't sticking well. Someone gave over to give an estimate for something else and suggested Doug spray paint them. Doug tried that and it worked amazingly! He wanted to paint them so they'd blend in to the house, and it worked. You can't see the wires at all. He did a fantastic job and the lights look so good!
It was really cold so he had to bundle up and was using electric hand warmers to keep his hands from freezing.

Jordan or I were out there all day helping as needed and just making sure he didn't get hurt. Coleman did go out for the last couple hours because Jordan and I left to watch Jack and Leilani play tennis.

He had about 5 hours in the dark that he was doing it.

They look amazing! There are also some on the side and back!
