After a day in Sandy Valley, we stayed in Vegas another night and then drove to Gilbert the next day. Michelle and Ashlee's families arrive the night before and my parents had been there a few weeks already. We had so much fun and the time went by way too fast!
I'm not really sure when these pictures were taken but since no one in my family is in them, I thought they might be from before we arrived:) They looked like they were having a good time!
On Monday morning we saw Wicked part 2. (We watched part 1 the night before for those of us who hadn't seen it yet:)) It was really good!
We did lots of diamond art.
On Tuesday Jackson flew in around 2 and then we went and played pickleball and tennis. Kenzie and Nati went shopping while we were at the park. This is Coleman and Doug playing.
Jordan and Nicolas. Nicolas is my cousin Kallie's son. Her family arrived Monday night. I hadn't seen Kallie since Nicolas was 1 (and he's 7 1/2 now) so it was so fun to see her and her family!
We ate at the new Seven Brothers restaurant (a favorite at the food trucks in Hawaii!)
Then we went next store and some got cookies.
On Wednesday a lot of us went on a hike. It was a fun one! Sometimes in the desert it's hard to tell where the trail is so we went off trail a few times, but we ended up finding it again:)
We made it to the cave!
Nicolas really loved my boys and was always playing with one of them. They are fun kids! :)
That afternoon some swam! Doug and Konrad were the first ones in.
Then Richard joined them. They did a little synchronized swimming...
Coleman!
Peter, Kallie, Michelle, and Ashlee sitting by the pool.
That night most of us went to Wild Ginger for dinner. Doug and I shared orange chicken and it was really good! He said it was the best orange chicken he's ever had.
The kid table
Lots of chess happened! My mom broke the bread for the stuffing for Thanksgiving!
Lots of Hearts was played too! Sam drove up that morning (which is why Ashlee hadn't gone on the hike with us) It had been two years since I'd seen them!
On Thanksgiving we started the day with the Turkey Bowl! The park we could walk to was already crowded and no on wanted to drive to another one so we just played in the street. It was kind of crazy with so many people! But also fun. We first just tried to do speed walking football, but no one was really a fan of that and we switched to regular running.
We were the victorious team! (There were were a few others on our team that already went inside or had quit soon after starting)
Nicolas, Camryn, Emmilyn, Coleman ready to play pickleball.
Jordan, Max, and Sam puzzling. After this Jordan became obsessed with puzzling for the rest of the trip and helped complete a lot of puzzles!
We played Nertz! It was so fun! It was Kenzie's first time playing with us since she had started playing with her friends and she was happy to see she kept up with the rest of us!
Sam, Cam, Emmilyn
Jordan puzzling some more.
Max, Sam, Emmilyn, Cam, Coleman playing a game.
We watched football. Kallie's family is from Dallas so they were especially excited to watch the Cowboys (although we were a house divided because my dad hates the Cowboys and wanted them to lose:))
Ash mashed a lot of potatoes!
Time to feast! We had a lot of extra potatoes. We had another bowl full besides the one on the counter...
Most of the kids squished at this table.
This was the kid and adult table.
And the adult table :)
All of us!
The OG Ridings!
Most of the Crabtrees, the Millars, and Kenna left Friday, the other Kenyons left early on Saturday, so all that was left was on Saturday was us and my parents and Alli. Us girls and my dad went shopping at the swap meet. Doug and our boys played tennis. Kenzie and Alli both bought Italian charm bracelets.
My sisters and I bought my mom's presents to give her in Arizona and I wrapped them for her and gave them to her. They were kitchen items for her Arizona house:)
Saturday night, Doug, the boys, and I went to the Suns/Nuggets game. It was so much fun! It was the boys' first profession basketball game and they really enjoyed it.
Jordan and I were comparing our phone cameras. This is a picture of my camera all the way zoomed in...
And this is Jordan's zoomed in all the way. I think his is a bit better. We were excited to see Jokic!
Jackson was thrown a free shirt!
On Sunday we went to church and hung out at the house playing games and doing puzzles.
Jordan did lots of puzzles!
Kenzie, my mom, and I went shopping at Walmart. Jackson left Monday morning to get back to school. The others just stayed home.
On Monday night we went to Organ Stop Pizza. It was a lot of fun and way less crowded than last year!
Bert and Nancy joined us. Bert took the picture so he wasn't in it.
Kenzie and Coleman went to watch from upstairs.
My dad bought Doug a farmer hat as a house warming gift :)
It was such a fun couple weeks!
