Kenzie gets a cast

Kenzie wrote nothing everyday on her calendar. She was a little sad to not have dance, volleyball, or flying circus to look forward to.

But she has got to watch lots of Christmas movies and we decorated for Christmas.

The Wednesday after we got home we took her to an orthopedic surgeon here and she got a cast. She had some pins sticking out of her wrist.

It was really interesting to watch the process of getting a cast. The guy wrapped her arm with padding several times. The put the cast strip in water to make it soft and then wrapped it several times in red and then added green to give her the Christmas cast she wanted.

Looks great at secure!

She was excited to have people sign it.

Bryce (and the rest of the Winters) came over and Bryce brought her some presents because he knows exactly how she feels because he broke the same arm in March.

Kenzie has done really great with just having one arm. She's learned to eat and write well with her left hand. We've all been super impressed with her handwriting. She's also handled really well not being able to do all the fun things she would have been doing if she didn't break her arm. She's scheduled to go back to the surgeon on Dec 29th and will hopefully get her cast off.
