Fourth Of July

We had a fun Fourth of July at Ashlee's house. We were supposed to be at Anderson Lodge for Doug's family reunion, but we ended up cancelling. Darrin's family said they weren't coming anymore. Candis said they were supposed to quarantine because Isaac had been around a kid that tested positive for coronavirus. Tyler's family thought we should postpone it and didn't really want to come. So it would have been just us and Brian and Deveny's family. (I told Doug we should still do it because it would be the easiest reunion ever :)) The county the lodge was in never got to phase 3 so we also wouldn't have been able to go there. So we cancelled. Fortunately, we were able to find a time next week that we could rebook the lodge. Unfortunately, I had done most of the shopping before we cancelled. But, fortunately, I bought food we liked so we'll still be able to use it and we'll bring it to the house we're renting with my family.

So that left us open on the Fourth to go to Ashlee's house. It wasn't super warm, but the kids still swam. And we did sparklers at night and watched fireworks from the docks. Besides us and the Crabtrees, my parents, Konrad's mom Sara, and a few of Konrad's nephews, and the Schofields (for a little bit) were there. It was a fun day!

Kenzie made this adorable shirt. I love her creativity and festiveness.

Sparklers!

We got home around 10:30 and could see fireworks from our bedroom window.
