Jackson turned 10! I can't believe it. How can he be so old already?
Jackson and his presents. We didn't have any wrapping paper (no one told me after my birthday that we were completely out...) so we had to be creative. We thought it was pretty fun to decorate the brown paper we used.
10! I told him next year he'll have to use his nose for 11, like he used to do in kindergarten.
Reading the card from Kenzie.
All his presents.
He wore his new Darth Vader costume most of the time we were at home that day.
After opening presents he wanted to play the Wii until lunch time. He had to try out his new games and amiibos:)
Mackenzie hula hooping.
We went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and to play. We got there right before Chuck E. came out.
Jack spent a lot of time playing this racing game.
Doug took some of the day off to play with us.
On the way home we got Slurpees from 7-11... and these new straws. Then Jack play the Wii some more.
Jack decided that instead of a birthday party he just wanted to take 2 friends bowling.
Jackson, Cole, Jaromiah, and Coleman
Coleman needs help pushing the ball down the lane otherwise it take so long for it to reach the pins, and probably wouldn't even make it sometimes.
Darth Vader wanted cinnamon rolls for his treat. They had just come out of the oven and when we pulled the candle out of them after he blew the fire out, we saw that the candle had melted inside the cupcakes. Luckily we only put them in 2 or 3 instead of all of them!
That night Jackson, Jordan, Doug and I watched Star Wars. We watched episodes 4, 5, and 6 a couple months ago and decided to start watching the rest.
We watched number 1. Jack says it's his favorite so far.
It was just a fun day celebrating him. Here's some fun facts about him:
I've been noticing he's not a little boy anymore. He doesn't play the way he used. He doesn't get excited in the same way. Sometimes he'd rather hang out with the adults than play. I also have to be careful about the cute stories I tell about or when I laugh at the things he does (that are funny in a cute way) because he notices things differently
He loves all sport, but soccer is his favorite
He loves Oreos
He loves sour candy
He's competitive, but doesn't get too upset when he loses (unless he thinks the game was unfair)
He loves to play games. His current favorite is Cover your Assets and Chess
He love video games. Minecraft is the one he plays the most lately (since he got it for his birthday)
He is responsible
He's a great piano player and loves to play. His favorites to play lately are: the song from Super Mario, The Hungarian Dance, and is now learning Praise to the Man
He likes to write stories
He's kind
He loves computer programming
He loves one on one time with Doug and me.
He's a good big brother
He loves to tease
He likes to debate/argue (I'm pretty sure he's just like I was when I was younger :))
He loves to read. Fantasy seems to be his favorite genre, although he still enjoys history ones a lot too
He likes to master things. He practices and works hard.
He's loving
We love him so much and are so happy he's ours!
