Mackenzie and Coleman are on the same t-ball team. It's fun to watch them. They're so cute. It's also weird not to have a littler kid there with me. Mackenzie was a little sad soccer was over, but she was so excited to do t-ball with Coleman. She thought it would be funny. It's fun to watch Coleman in a new environment. All my kids can be loud and very talkative, but are so quiet around people they don't know. Jackson is kind of shy, Jordan's not really shy but still doesn't talk a lot to new people, Mackenzie is really shy, but Coleman is not. When they first met the coach I told her their names and she shook their hands and said nice to meet you. Kenzie just looked at her, and Coleman said "nice to meet you."
Mackenzie batting.
Coleman was playing third base. I told him not to stand directly on the base. He didn't really believe me at first though. Then as the batting practice went on, the balls were only hit to 1st and 2nd base. Coleman kept getting closer and close to that side of the field until he eventually was standing around where the pitcher stands.
For the first practice he would run to get the ball whenever it was hit, but at the next one, even if the ball was hit much closer to him than the other kids he wouldn't get it unless his coach told him to.
Coleman also talked to their coach a lot during batting practice. He said things like "I missed it." and "I hit my head." (because he swung the bat around so far it hit his head:))
The coach wanted Kenzie to play first base, but Kenzie was too nervous. The next practice, though, she gave it a try and did great :)
The coach asked the kids if they wanted to learn to hit without the tee. Almost all of them said yes and were excited about the idea. Coleman, however, was shaking his head and saying no. :) He makes me laugh.
Since it's t-ball the kids often tackle the ball. The first practice was so entertaining that Jackson wanted to come with me the next week to watch :) Although, he and Jordan played soccer most of the time instead of watching.
