It's the Holiday Season

I love Christmas time. I love doing all the fun things there are to do this month. Last week we went to Snow Flake Lane with my mom and sister and her kids. We go every year now. There's Christmas music playing, people in costumes walking around (like a polar bear and snow princess) and they give out suckers. Then there's a parade of drummers and the snow falls. The kids loved it. Jordan was dancing most of the time. He was pretty cute. Jackson liked trying to catch the snow. I think he was even trying to catch it with his tongue, which is pretty gross because the snow is actually bubbles, but it looks like snow as it's falling. Mackenzie was even happy even though it was really close to her bedtime and that usually means it's her grumpy time.

After the drummers come in the parade they each have one of these things to stands on to play their drums on.

Cute Jordan.

This is probably why Kenzie was happy most of the time. She got a sucker too. We didn't let her eat it though. But she still liked chewing on it.

Jordan loved his sucker. After he finished he held out his sticky hands and said he wanted another one.

My husband and me.

I'm not sure what he's doing here... Maybe trying to eat the snow? He should have looked up more if that was his goal though.

We also had our church Christmas party on Saturday. It was the last activity I was in charge of as activity chairman. They no longer have that calling in the church anymore. And I'm so happy for that change :) I definitely prefer nursery (although, I'm only going to be in there until January when I'll move up with the Sunbeams. I'm not sure how Jordan will do when I leave him again. He told me on Sunday that he likes when I go to nursery with him and every Sunday he asks me if I'm coming with him. He'll probably be fine though. Maybe just a little sad at first). But back to the Christmas party... We had fun, but I'm so glad it's over. Santa did make an appearance at the party.

I didn't know how Jordan would do with Santa this year. Last year he was too afraid to sit on his lap. But this year he knows a little more about Santa. And we've seen Santa at the mall. Jordan was a little scared then, but when Santa offered him a candy cane Jordan thought he must be ok. But I still didn't know if he would sit on Santa's lap. When it was our turn Jack said he wanted Jordan to go first, but Jordan didn't seem to like that idea. So I was trying to convince Jack to go first to show Jordan that Santa isn't scary and Jordan just ran up there and sat on his lap. That kid is always surprising me. After I asked him was he told Santa he wanted, and he said he told him he wanted a "candy can." He may have just told me that though since Santa gave him one.

Jackson was happy to sit on Santa's lap once he saw Jordan do it. I think he would have done it even if Jordan wouldn't have though. He was a little nervous because he didn't know what to tell Santa he wanted. He ended up going with "I don't know."

Mackenzie didn't like Santa. I didn't know how she'd do. She was fine when Doug was starting to hand her over to him, but then she started crying. So we let her get off. No point in scarring the young child right? :)
