Portland Zoo and Shell's House

We went to my sister Michelle's house Sunday through Tuesday this week with my other sister Ashlee and our kids. We had a lot of fun being together. We went to a couple parks close by my sister's house, played in the backyard and went to the zoo. We all have zoo passes that got us in free (and they also get us in free to our zoos up here). It was so warm the whole time we were there. We all loved it. Thanks for having us Shell, and for feeding us, and for getting my kids up in the early mornings :)Jordan at the zoo. Just a few seconds before I took this picture he was whining form being scared of a sea lion that was swimming in a tank by us. But as soon as I turned the camera toward him he started smiling and laughing.

Here's the 'scary' sea lion. One of them was out on their rocks making a lot of noise. The animals were more fun than normal they were moving around and playing and talking more than they normally seem to. They must have enjoyed the warm weather as much as we did.

Kenna, Michelle, and Jackson. Jackson didn't really want to look at the camera and smile like I wanted him to so he settled for his head turned some toward the camera and a half smile.

Cute baby Natalie.

Alli, Jack, Sam, Kenna, Kimber and the elephant.

Jack and Sam walked together a lot of the time we were there holding hands. He kept wanting her to carry him, but she couldn't do it for too long. I thought they were cute though.

The kids wanted to go swimming, but we didn't think that was a good idea. Instead Michelle got out a bin and filled it with water. The kids had a blast paying in it. They loved putting things in it and splashing and trying to put their feet in without being caught.

Jordan loved it too. I don't know if you can see this very well but he's soaking wet. His pants, shirt, and head are all very wet in this picture. He loved splashing and didn't care if it got him wet. He also fell or was pushed (we're really not sure) and got his face and head soaked. He cried for a few seconds then was ready to go splash some more. He's a pretty tough kid.

Ashlee got Jordan to walk around in shoes for the first time. I've put them on him and he always cried and refused to stand in them. I even made him wear them to Walmart one day and he was fine there and in the car but as soon as I put him down at home he cried again. But Ashlee showed him that he can walk while wearing them and he now will where them happily. He still falls a lot more when he's wearing them than when he's not wearing the, but he's getting better. He has a hard time standing up in them by himself too. Hopefully when he can wear crocks he will get better because I think they'd be easier to walk in.

Jackson, Alli, Kenna, Sam, Kimber, Jordan. The only cousin missing is Natalie... She was sleeping.

Happy Birthday Douglas!

It was Doug's 26th birthday last Friday. It was a fun day. Jackson was so excited for Doug's birthday all day. When I got him up int he morning. He said very loudly 'today's daddy's birthday!!!!" and he put his arms above his head in celebration.

Opening presents.

Jordan's not so bald finally. I had a good opportunity to take a picture of it, so even though this isn't exactly a birthday celebration picture, I took it anyway. It was taken at the birthday party though.

Doug and Jackson with Doug's presents.

Jackson wanted to put the candles in the cake all day and so he was excited when it was finally time to do it.

Doug and Jackson with the cake and candles.

Blowing out the candles. Jackson talked about doing this all day. If ever said anything about Doug blowing out the candles Jack would immediately tell me that he was blowing them out too.

Enjoying the cake.

Jordan liked the cake much more than he liked his birthday cake. He actually ate some of it. It really did taste better than his birthday cake though.

It's true.

I am pregnant. This picture proves it (isn't the baby cute?). The baby's expected arrival date is September 25. So I'm about 15 weeks along. I've been feeling ok. Tired and a little sick, but nothing too bad. We're excited for the new baby!

Jordan, Pizza, Stool, Christmas Pajamas, Christmas tree Jack

Cute Jordan

Jordan loves eating. He pretty much loves everything we put in front of him. He really loves pizza (which is what he's eating in the picture). He also eats a lot. When he wants more food he throws his plate onto the table so we can put more food on it. When he's done he usually throws it on the floor along with any food left on it. Then he throws any food on his tray on the ground.

We bough Jackson this stool last week so he could reach the sink and wash his hand. Before he would get on his little stool and would have to climb half way on the counter just to turn the water on and then would sometimes get stuck on the way back down. So I wanted to get him a stool so that he could go to the bathroom by himself then wash his hands by himself. He loves it. The first day he used it, I was putting Jordan to bed and when I went to get Jack he was so happy because of his stool. He said "I'm so big!" I agreed with him, and he said "No, on my stool I'm so big!" It was cute how happy it made him. He loves to get drink from the sink now too.

I bought Jordan these cute jammies last week. They were only a 1.99 so even though they're Christmas ones I bought them. And now I love them. He looks so cute in them.

After Jack finished getting into his pajamas tonight I realized that he too is in Christmas jammies tonight. I guess we like to spread the Christmas spirit all throughout the year. Before I took this picture I told Jack to be a tree. So this is a picture of Jack being a tree.

Welch's Material?

There's a young women in our ward that often tells me that Jackson is so cute he should be on a Welch's Juice commercial. You know the one where they have a cute kids saying they like the juice... Well I decided to test out her theory. But not with juice. We used Lucky Charms.

What do you think? Does he have a future as a commercial kid? :)
