We had another fantastic week in Hawaii!
On Monday we stayed home and played at our beach in the morning then went for shave ice in the afternoon.
Coleman and Sam reading. Coleman finished Harry Potter 4, and is sad we don't have 5. We found him another book, the Pennyroyal Academy and he's loving it. He wishes he was reading Harry Potter though:)
Coleman, Sam, Jordan
Jack skim boarding.
Doug getting tan. He dug a hole to put his face in:)
On our way to Matsumoto's a gecko was running on the outside of our car.
Coleman got shave ice again. He went with watermelon and coconut.
Jordan ate his large, and then finished several others.
On Tuesday we got up early and went to Waimea. The kids jumped off the rocks and swam a little.
Jack and Alli jumping of the big cliff. Sam and Kenna also jumped from there.
Sam jumping off the smaller rock.

the kids hanging out in the water. I think this is the only time Jordan got in the water. He said it was too cold for him.
Coleman and Cam swam out to this little rock.
Coleman jumping off.
Then they convinced Richard to take them to the medium sized rock and they jumped from it.
Coleman jumping in.
After Waimea, we just swam at the house beach again.
Doug skim boarding.

Jackson rolled down the hill...
We spend most evenings playing games. We played banana grams that night.
On Wednesday we got up early again and went to the swap meet.
Coleman wasn't excited about coming, but he had fun choosing a few souvenirs: a hat and a boomarang. I got the bag he's holding and a sweatshirt. Jordan just wanted the flip flops he's wearing. He's feet were kind of hanging off his old shoes.
Jack, Alli, KImber, Sam, Shell, Kenzie looking at pins. Kenna and Nati were probably there too.

Our check engine light came on the day before so on our way to the swap meet we stopped at an auto store and checked what the code for it was. It turned out it just needed new spark plugs. So the guy we rented the car from came to the swap meet and switched it out.
That afternoon we went to our beach again.
Sam found a gecko. She named it Bass Fish.
Coleman and Cam
Nati and Kenzie went on a walk.
It was date night so we got some coconut shrimp and thai food again. Yum!
Hearts!
Phase 10! Coleman and Richard have played a lot of Phase 10. Now they just walk around saying "skip Richard" and "Skip Coleman" to each other.
Camryn
First ever all girls Hearts game! Shell won in extra innings!
Thursday we just stayed home all day. We went to the beach some of the day. I made my kids stay out most of the afternoon. Having a beach in the backyard is amazing, but the kids will come out for awhile and then just decided to be done and got inside the rest of the day. When we drive to beach after they get bored of being in the water, they go play in the sand or read on a blanket and then they just keep switching around. So I decided I just needed to say they weren't allowed to go back inside.
Coleman was reading his book at the largest font. Only 5-10 words per page. He usually climbs in the my bed once we're both awake and reads next to me.
More Phase 10.
Sam, Kimber, Ashlee reading on the beach.

Kenzie was really mad that I made her stay out when Natalie went inside. After a bit she ran into the ocean and played an hour and a half or so. She loves the ocean when she remembers she can play in it and have fun even if Nati's not in it. She loves swimming, just not as much as she loves Nati :)
Jordan just read after he was done in the water. He's been reading like crazy since we've been here. He finished the Michael Vey series today. He's read 6 books since we got to Hawaii!
Kenzie was jumping and flopping in the water.
Coleman was also mad when I told him he had to stay outside. He said the sand was boring. But Cam stayed out with him and they had a blast playing in the sand.
Alli and Kenna playing Just Dance.
Sisters!
Friday my mom, my sisters, and I went to Walmart and Costco for another grocery run. Then we hung out at our beach in the afternoon.
So much groceries from Costco! And a surfboard!
Kenna on the surf board.

There are usually wind surfers at out beach. It's been so windy while we've been here, which is why we all like laying in lawn chairs rather than on the sand. We get covered in sand when if we try to lay on the sand.
We get some bigger waves too.
Boogie boarding!
Coleman and Doug
The Kenyon's friends who live in Maui are vising for the weekend. They asked Michelle to take them to her favorite spots on Oahu. So even though Saturdays are usually a little more lowkey, we had a busy day yesterday. We went to Shark's Cove in the morning (getting up early again!), then Matsumotos, then Pipeline.
I think everyone but my mom and Ashlee snorkeled.
Ash sent some pictures from Alli:

Alli, Jack, and Kenna went to the rock across the water and jumped in.
Jordan finishing everyone's shave ice. He keeps saying he's just going to get a small the next time we go, but he still gets a large. We'll see if he gets a small next time... He just gets so full after finishing so many shave ices!
Coleman, Jordan, Kimber, Cam at Pipeline.
Jackson rolling down the hill into Coleman. Coleman didn't like it very much.
After everyone else left and we were about to leave we heard cheering from the people next to us (who, by the way, we had been watching all after do trick on their boogie boards. They were sliding down the sand into the water and then doing flips when they reached the waves. They were amazing and so fun to watch!) I heard them say dolphins and looked out and saw a dolphin jumping out the water. It was so cool. We watched them until they were gone. I've always wanted to see dolphins here! (The dolphins are actually pictured. I never could get a picture of them, they jumped too quickly.)
Kenzie lost her final baby tooth last night!
Today we went to church in the morning. After lunch we went to a lookout point to see the view and then to a short (but very muddy!) hike.
Ashlee organized a grandkid picture. It didn't work out too well :) A little too windy to see their cute faces!
the view
We tried to get a selfie.
Doug sprayed most of us down with bug spray before the hike. He was very thorough!
The hike was so muddy!
And we sometimes had to climb over and under trees (although there was a path around them too)
Coleman and Cam hanging in the trees.
Coleman the sloth.
Likelike Waterfall.
Kenzie and Sam
Coleman slipped a few times. He was muddy. An unhappy. He said today was the worst day in Hawaii (made doubly worse because it's Sunday which is usually his favorite day because of all the games we play)
I took my shoes off for most of the hike down. It was so slippery and my feet were slipping and sliding in my flip flops.
