The Winters' invited us to their ward's Scripture Hero Cub Camp. Erin asked if I would do a station, and that if I did, my kids could come to it. I knew they'd love it, so I agreed. It was two full days, and a lot of fun.
My station was teaching about Jesus and doing a string art project. Konrad, Jordan, and Doug cut and sanded all the wood for me (which saved us tons of money.) The project was a really good one. The kids all had enough time to do it and it appealed to everyone.
We were excited to find out Kenzie's friend, Jenna, from our ward was going to be there too with one of her friends. Kenzie and Jenna weren't in the same group, but it was still fun to see her.
Jackson came has a helper both days. He was a walking leader with Jordan's group the first day.
Thane and Kenzie working on their string art.
Coleman
Holly and Milo
I had just enough supplies left at the end of the day that Jackson could make one. He was missing a few nails, but it still worked great:)
Coleman turned his into an I love you sign and gave it to me :)
Jordan told me he chose these colors because he wanted to do orange and Kimber told him black is the only color that goes well with orange :)
On day 2 I was a walking leader with Jordan's group. They shot Goliath with marshmallows.
Jordan's group name was the Kangaroosies roosies.
Carving soap.
Coleman and Kenzie's group. Their name was Armies of Helium. They loved their group so much. They all got along really well and seamed to have so much fun together.
They made a fire. It took awhile and some patience and trial and error, but they finally got it going.
They helped make craft kits for the Seattle Children's Hospital.
They carved soap. I snuck away from Jordan's group to see Mackenzie and Coleman carving soap.
The whole group at the end of camp. Their were 39 kids. Each group, except one, at 8 kids and it was a perfect amount. After doing many years of normal cub camp where there is often 12-15 kids in a group this felt so much more manageable.
